Huglo did a great job

Excellent service from Huglo Solar
Huglo Solar were great to deal with, from initial contact and the quoting process, through to installation and post installation advice. We installed a home battery, EV charger and upgraded our solar PV system.The Huglo team know the products and were willing to work with us in designing a solution that suited our requirements (this was in stark contrast to other providers who provided templated quotes and lost interest when we started asking questions!). The Huglo staff were also very responsive and kept us well informed throughout the whole process.
A couple of things that we think really set Huglo apart from other companies:
1 Due to the siting of the battery and the layout of the house, ours was a tricky installation - Huglo were willing to work with us to deliver a great solution (whereas other companies we spoke with were not willing to do anything that required extra work)
2 The Huglo team did an actual site inspection (in person) before the installation and talked through how they proposed to do everything. We know from friends that this isn’t always the case with other companies.
3 Huglo employs all their own staff - we were confident that the people installing the gear actually worked for Huglo, and they were very focused on making sure everything was compliant to code.
4 There was a real focus on service from all the people we dealt with at Huglo, from initial contact to handover after installation. We even had contact with two of the company Directors throughout the process - they are hands on and interested in the work!
While getting quotes, it was obvious that a lot of companies were only interested in the easy ‘rinse and repeat’ quotes (and a few didn’t even bother responding to our enquiries!). Huglo is different - we found them very customer focused and willing to custom design a solution to meet our needs. Their quote was not the cheapest, nor was it the most expensive. But when you consider the way they do business, they represent absolute value for money! We highly recommend Huglo.

Fantastic company and service
The team was very helpful and efficient. Their followup was great.10 months later we asked Peter: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
My system has performed well. The ony difficulty is that I had Solar Edge inverter installed with our solar panels and a Wallbox EV charger, and the Sinenergy battery and inverter later; they work well but are not well integrated together.07 July 2026

Great installer, good communication
Huglo solar provided a competitive quote for a Goodwe 16kw battery system, AC coupled since already 2 solar installs on site. Good communication in all the way from quoting thru to installation, keeping aprised of site inspection, install date.The electrician installer, had a small install problem on install date with inverter firmware update and I think the AC cable plug didn't fully seat in the inverter.
Full credit to him, arrived next day to sort the problems. Upon leaving on a Friday afternoon near 5pm there was still a small issue (nothing dangerous) with the invertor isolation switch on switchboard (acting as a 2 position switch instead of 3 position). He got about 2 mins away , turned around and revisited to resolve the issue.

Excellent communication
Huglo were very professional throughout the whole process and organised everything with regards to grid connection, etc. One of their strong points is communication. They kept me informed of what was going to happen the whole way through the quotation, pre-installation and installation process and have also been helpful with questions now the system is up and running.Also, I'd like add that the SOLARQUOTE's system made finding reputable installers for quotes very easy.

Competent Installer
Quote was given within acceptable timeframe.The team arrived on time. Installation was not done in rush which is good because quality is not compromised.
Overall customer service was not very good as I had difficulty communicating with the team. Most of my emails were not immediately answered or acknowledged.

Exceptional Company
What an amazing experience with this installer. Right from my first contact with Huglo Solar I had a good feeling about them. The Director, Tim struck me as very personable, knowledgeable, experienced and most importantly - genuine. Tim conducted the initial site visit which coincided with the day of the Sigenergy recall. Tim was able to fully appraise me of the situation and allowed me to make an informed decision to switch to a Sungrow system. Tim was able to bring forward the installation date which suited me. The installation team were very professional, courteous and respectful. I could tell that they were proud to be a part of the Huglo team and that their attitude and skills were a reflection of very good management. I couldn’t be happier with the final product. Great service
We were really happy with Huglo’s service. They were very helpful in advising on equipment types, the quote was reasonable and had lots of useful information. The installation process went smoothly, and the team did a great job. The user manual and servicing recommendations pack they sent at the end was really comprehensive and full of good information.Highly recommended.

All done professionally
Got quotes from Huglo for 3 different configurations and we decided to go with a middle capacity. Ther sale, recommendation and installation were all done professionally and with patience. All the forms/documents were completed by Huglo and installed as per spec. They even advanced the installation date to accommodate our travel plan in the busy period of year end. We installed a package of solar panels, battery, inverter & EV-AC charger. The App is really good with extensive options on real-time operations with pictorial & graphs, etc.

Would highly recommend
Very happy with Huglo from start to finish. Lee was fantastic at explaining the system and process and answered all of my many questions. The installation team were efficient, polite and respectful, they also cleaned up beautifully at the end of the day.Daniel has been great in keeping us informed and checking in regularly. We did have to wait nearly 2 months for the battery but that was a supply issue and was out of Huglo's control.
Overall a very smooth and pleasant experience.
We would highly recommend Huglo.

Seamless
A seamless installation by Dorji and crew. We had to make some adjustments mid-way to avoid asbestos sheeting but all was done quickly and effectively. The advice I obtained prior to installation allowed me to plan the size of the system and we now have a full battery and power to export. The final product fits neatly on roof and the wall below.14 October 2025
Happy with Huglo - too right!
All stages and steps in this process (from first contact to sign off) were trouble free and easy. I was expecting to be confused with technical detail and specialist speak. Not so - all communications have been in my language and all people I have communicated with have taken special care to ensure that I fully understood answers to my questions.The design, planning, offers of various options, discussions about cost and comparisons and pros and cons of the 3 options discussed were very clear and Huglo people were very patient with me.
The site visit and subsequent installation visits were enjoyable for me.
The installation team was professional, efficient, arrived on time and worked constantly from start to finish. There was no stopping for phone calls or conversations other than discussions of approach to the task and planning for and solving site problems.
The team was well integrated, were familiar and friendly with each other and the Supervisor appeared to me to be the first amongst equals (ie not an officious controller) and, consequently it was a harmonious and happy team.
At the end of the job all debris and materials were removed and the place needed no cleaning or tidying by me.
I can not fault Huglo in any way and will promote them when I am asked by neighbours and friends about how the process went.
The new installation is working really well. I have compared the performance of the old 5.9kW system which has been replaced by the new 11.875kW system and the difference is amazing. See photo below - please ignore the first one (mistake) and I cannot work out how to remove it.. The weather conditions on the day before the changeover and the full day following were essentially identical.

Huglo Solar are a truly excellent Solar organisation.
From the moment I first started a conversation with about my solar requirements with the Lee and the team at Huglo I knew I was dealing with a professional organization and not the usual run of the mill salesman. I had some more difficult requirements and it was clear these were not only understood but planned for correctly well in advance. My PM Chloe was excellent in keeping my informed about the process before and after the install. The installation team were excellent and did a really neat job with my work. More stars would have been appropriate
I had a fantastic experience with Huglo and could not recommend them more highly. It has been several months since Huglo installed my AIKO Solar and Sigenergy battery/EV charger system and I have been very satisfied with the installation and after sales service.After first contacting Huglo, Lee came out to our house to do an initial look around and to learn more about what we wanted. He spent lots of time with us and provided lots of relevant information. He was a great listener, explained the differences between different options and was never pushy (far from it!). Our quote was provided electronically and it was easy to work with Lee on a couple of minor changes before accepting it.
Lee also visited again for a final site inspection, then on install day everything went really well. There was one small issue with the installation which Lee and the team were happy to address promptly and at no cost to make sure we were satisfied.
When the system required its first software update I had some trouble installing it. I contacted Huglo and they were able to help me out remotely. Again it was dealt with very promptly and professionally.

A professional team, excellent product and a great result
It was an absolute pleasure to have used the Huglo team as the installer for a new system of solar panels and Tesla Powerwall 3. The Huglo team are a great bunch of professionals: their communication at every stage of the process was first class, their workmanship first class and their client engagement was courteous, unobtrusive and informative.
