Be Aware!
I’m sharing this so others are aware of my experience, as it has been far from straightforward to resolve and quite disappointing overall.The installation was originally booked for a Friday, which was cancelled at short notice and moved to Saturday. I was told to expect a relatively simple 4–6 hour install starting at 8:00am.
On the Saturday, the installers didn’t arrive until nearly four hours after the agreed start time, with no real communication or apology. What should have been a half-day job then dragged on for around 12 hours, with work continuing past 10:00pm.
From my perspective, this created significant disruption. I had to cut short a morning appointment to return home and meet the team and later leave my wife’s birthday gathering because neighbours were understandably raising concerns about work continuing late into the evening.
Another concern was communication on site — the installers were relying on voice translators on their phones to communicate. While I appreciate the effort to communicate, this made it difficult to have clear, confident discussions about what was being installed in my home, particularly given the electrical nature of the work.
More concerning was that the electrical installation itself was not completed correctly. As a result, the main bedrooms, bathroom and living areas upstairs were left without power overnight. The electricians didn’t return until around 1:00pm the following day, and it then took a further five hours to rectify the issue and complete commissioning.
I have since requested compliance certificates to confirm the installation was carried out to the required standards by appropriately qualified Australian electricians. To date, only an unsigned copy has been provided, which does not give me confidence in the quality or compliance of the work.
The commissioning process was also handled poorly. It was ultimately completed over the phone at my request rather than in person. Even now, the system does not appear to be operating correctly — it is not storing power or allowing it to be used overnight as expected. I have requested assistance but have not received any response to address this.
While I understand that issues can arise on projects, the way this was handled — from delays, to communication, to quality of workmanship and follow-up — has not been acceptable. Trying to resolve this has been difficult, and the response received has fallen well short of what I would consider reasonable given the level of inconvenience and disruption experienced.
I would encourage anyone considering Voltx to take extra care to confirm installation standards, communication, commissioning support and post-installation service upfront.

Poor after-sales support - battery fault unresolved for 2+ weeks
Purchased an AlphaESS 50.5kWh battery system from VoltX Energy, installed November 2025. The installation itself was fine, however I’ve had a fault with the battery for over two weeks now with absolutely no resolution or clear communication from VoltX. Just that they have escalated the matter…I’ve made six calls to their team over that period - including one call that lasted over an hour - and I still have no idea what the fault is, what’s causing it, or when it will be fixed. Each call requires me to chase them; they are not proactively reaching out.
I referred two people to VoltX based on my confidence in the product. I deeply regret those referrals now. For a system that costs nearly $9,000 out of pocket and that a household depends on daily, this level of after-sales support is unacceptable.
The contract promises warranty claims will be addressed within a reasonable timeframe. Two weeks with no update is not that.

Voltx install
All was good and I’m very happy with the installation! The team of installers were terrific very helpful, polite, and accommodating throughout the day. They worked with a lot of confidence and did a very neat job, getting everything installed in just one day.They were very communicative and knowledgeable, ensuring everything was done correctly and the place was left clean. The battery is working fine and everything is running smoothly.

Absolutely 0 customer servicd.
Initial install went well eventually (after waiting several months and multiple phone calls to get them to schedule it in)..However soon after install we started having multiple and constant brownouts. Eventually isolated it to every time the battery went flat, if we ran more than one appliance at a time (eg dishwasher and toaster) all the lights would dim and sometimes even turn off. Tried to call them multiple times over several months- the phone doesn't even ring, I'm not sure if they've blocked my number somehow or they're just inundated with calls. Tried emailing and no response. Eventually left a google review which they responded to and promised to assist. After 1 month they sent an email claiming it was normal because i had battery backup. I told them this wasn't normal because they entire house was affected, not just the circuits on backup. They promised to escalate, 3 months later no news! So now every afternoon we have to choose between hot water, the dishwasher, or washing machine.. cant do two at a time. Unfortunately we're on tank water too, so every time the pump runs we're at risk of a blackout! Absolute fail

Based on my experience, the after-sales support has been very poor.
Voltx installed my battery system in early Dec 25, and I paid for a blackout circuit as part of the installation. Unfortunately, the sales team did not correctly brief the installer, so the blackout circuit was never installed.At the time the support person i was dealing with owned the miscommunication and I was told the issue would be resolved within two weeks. After four weeks (allowing for the holiday period of Christmas and new years), I began calling twice weekly to follow up, regularly experiencing phone wait times of 30+ minutes. After another month with no progress, I moved to email communication, but the process has continued to drag on. I repeatedly had promised call backs that never eventuated.
Throughout this period, I was repeatedly told I was “top of the list” or “high priority,” yet no installation date was ever confirmed. More recently, I was told they had run out of blackout circuits (?!?), and then later that they currently have no team available to complete the work at all.
To be fair, the battery itself is working well. However, the process of trying to get the company to correct its own installation error has been lengthy, frustrating, and disappointing. Based on my experience, the after-sales support has been very poor.
The install was in Dec 25, I was told last week they can't complete at all…

Faulty Neovolt/Bytewatt installation, zero support, and ghosted by Voltx Energy
I had a Neovolt battery system installed by Voltx Energy in November last year, and it has been a financial nightmare. The installation was done incorrectly: every time the battery discharges, the system registers it as consumption from the grid rather than home generation. This installation glitch has caused my electricity bills to skyrocket by an extra $200 a month on average.I have independent data tracking from my electricity provider's live app that directly correlates the exact timestamps of battery discharge with massive, artificial grid usage spikes.
I have even gone as far as contacting Bytewatt customer support directly to troubleshoot. They attempted a remote CT clamp reversal adjustment, which failed to fix the issue—meaning this is a physical wiring, pin-termination, or meter configuration error made on-site by the Voltx installers.
I have tried contacting Voltx Energy multiple times via phone and email since January to get their installation error rectified under warranty. They are completely ignoring my emails, and it has reached the point where they see my phone number and deliberately refuse to pick up the call.
Because they have completely ghosted me and abandoned their warranty obligations, I have formally escalated this matter. A full compliance case has been opened with the New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC) under Case 00003042, and my next step will be lodging a formal consumer claim with the tribunal (NCAT) to recover my financial losses. Avoid this company—once they take your money, they disappear.

Dismal customer service and non compliant install
Decided to go with voltx to ensure RTI was achieved quickly.From the get go, red flags were popping up. From quoting 6.5k for a 30kw to hitting approximate install date 3 months later. I had no communication for the company and after wasting hours on the phone trying to get a hold of someone to speak to found out install would be delayed by another 2 months. Company offered upgrade to 50kw with 5kw free of charge for which I was grateful, only to find they were selling that system in NSW for 4k.
Then chop shop (apprentices and TA's) installers arrived at site. Didn't install products because they needed another part. Then waited another 2 weeks for a separate install team, this time admittedly all 1st year apprentices.
Install is non compliant, customer service is non existent and now because of their delays if I chose to go with another supplier I would of missed out on the large energy rebate.
I lost out on $1600 of lost wages to facilitate the install and barely any reimbursement came from voltX.
My advice is avoid this company at all costs. Choose another budget brand

Awesome Job!
VoltX Energy just finished setting up our home storage and the workmanship is spot on. The electrician did a great job keeping the cabling neat and tidy, which makes a huge difference to the overall look in the garage. They took the time to walk us through the app setup before leaving and made sure everything was tracking correctly. It’s a relief to see the system finally running. Good value , good service
I recently had voltx install a battery (28kw with 10kw inverter). Not only was their price competitive and the sales person willing to answer my questions, the installation team arrived when scheduled and did a neat and thorough job. They also explained how everything worked, the app usability etc. only a few days in but very happy so far with the overall service and offering from voltx.08 May 2026

Quick and easy
The timing it went from quote, confirming and installing was amazingly quick.Installation team was happy to listen to what was the best option for us and accommodate where possible.
CS team was quick to respond and follow up - sometimes too pesky when I wasn't ready yet but better to have contact than none.

A Great Team!
VoltX Energy just finished setting up our new system and the quality of the batteries is great. The installation team did a very tidy job with the wiring and made sure everything was mounted neatly. It’s a relief to have the energy storage up and running now. We had a few questions about the technical side of things while they were here, but the installers were attentive and took the time to explain how it all works. Nightmare level purchase with no support
This is a nightmare level purchase. I paid initial deposit August 2025. It took them 7 months to get it installed eventually in April 2026 after many chase up. My friend, on the other hand, had his installed within 4 weeks and price was very competitive. I wouldn't worry too much if installation went well. This is just the beginning unfortunately. On the installation day, installer refused to connect our hot water system to battery. Voltx backed them up and requested extra $200. I sent all pictures including meter box, solar inverter etc to them at the beginning and it is absurb to ask for additional for something that is part of standard house. They admitted it's sales issue not calling the fee in contract but still insist charging me extra for what I consider a standard installation. Contract means very little to them. There are other major issues too. Solar doesn't charge battery. It sells directly to grid. Part of the house doesn't run on battery. Installer just left without completing the installation and I let voltx know immediately. It took them another 4 weeks to send someone on-site to have a look. In the meanwhile, they keep asking me to sign completion of, pay for invoice. Unethical and bad management.I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I wish I could give a zero star if allowed

A reputable Australian Company
My experience with VoltX Energy was positive from signing up to installation. Both sales team and installers did take care to answer my questions and install new system according to my preferences. Despite time constraints and a temptation to take short cuts the installers did manage to achieve an installation that I was happy with in terms of location of inverter, batteries and running of cables. The overall installation is tidy and professional. I had some difficulties with batteries communicating with the inverter for the first week. In the process of trouble shooting the system started working correctly. I've enjoyed a fully operational system now for a week and am very impressed with it's performance. Watching the management system through the app gives great insight and understanding. I can't fault it, the management algorithm is excellent.It would be fair to say I'm a happy customer and would recommend Voltex energy as a reputable Australian Company.

Relatively low cost battery installation
I installed 5Kw of panel 5 years ago, so costs etc relate only to my recent battery installation. I had considered a battery before the federal rebate and found it uneconomical. I explored a battery again after the rebate was announced, but the conclusion was the same until I came across Voltx.LG, a big name respected battery provider, had a major recall, so I figured it can happen to any of them and who knows how any of the batteries will perform, or how long they will last, so I went with Voltx at just over half the price of the big names. The installation went smoothly and was very tidy. I may regret it, but then again, I may not.
10 months later we asked Harry: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
The Voltx branded NeoWatt battery has performed faultlessly, such that I regret not doubling up from 10 to 20kWh. I already had panels installed in 2019.

Perfectly working system at low cost
VoltX Energy just finished setting up our battery system with tremendous care for the quality of the technical work and every detail.The low cost of the system amazed my friends and family. It performs perfectly and all our solar panel energy is captured and used in the evening hours when the cost of network power is highest. With 5.4 kW solar system, and now well into the winter season, we cover about half of our fully electric heating and cooking energy needs. It will be 100% in the summer. It will be even better when we add more solar panels.
In my calculation, the payback time for the system is about 3-4 years, with benefits extending much longer. I am discussing with our daughter’s family in Fisher, ACT to purchase a second VoltX system for their house.
The installation team were great to deal with; they worked efficiently with great attention to detail, ensuring in every step that the work is of highest standard, and not sparing their time and energy to deliver a perfect result.

Timely installation
Our neighbours used VoltX and they recommended that we do the same. We did and were very satisfied. They arrived at 7.45 am and finished at 7.45 pm. Did it all in a day and level 2 electrician checked the job on a Saturday. Very timely and friendly installers.30 April 2026

Amazing Installer and Great deal !!
VoltX Energy just finished setting up the battery system, and the quality of the technical work is top-tier. The guys on-site were great to deal with; they worked efficiently and made sure all the cabling was neat and the workspace was spotless before they left. They were able to answer and explain few questions that I had without any issues. After seeing the attention to detail in the workmanship, it feels like I made the right choice going with them. While the admin side had some coordination hurdles earlier on, the actual on-site execution and competitive value of the system really stand out. It’s good to have everything powered up and running exactly as expected.I am very happy with the system and already see potential savings in my electricity bills.
The app is amazing too as it shows clearly current battery percentage, usage, grid movement and many more things.
Backup override switch works good too as I had power failure in my area for few hours and backup circuits kept the house going off grid for that time.

Very happy customer
I couldn’t be happier with my experience with VoltX Energy. Before committing, I spent a lot of time researching the market and comparing options, and VoltX genuinely stood out. The product stacked up impressively against well known brands, yet came in at a much more affordable price, which made the decision even easier.One of the biggest selling points for me was VoltX’s end to end service. Unlike other providers who sell the battery but outsource the installation, VoltX handles everything in house. That makes future support incredibly straightforward. You deal with one company, not a chain of contractors passing responsibility back and forth. As a customer, that level of accountability is reassuring.
The installation team was excellent. They were friendly, efficient, and highly professional, completing the job smoothly and with great attention to detail. From start to finish, the process felt well organised and stress free.
Most importantly, the results have been fantastic. The system performs exactly as promised, and the quality of the product is evident. I’m extremely happy with my choice and would confidently recommend VoltX Energy to anyone considering home battery solutions.

Review
Sales and quoting seemed to go OK , they did this by the phone and pictures of meter box and othe rimportant factors like where it was going to be situated.Great installer worked very hard and made a very clean and tidy install and made sure everything was working correctly after power was back on.
He showed me also to use the APP for the battery system.
Customer service was OK , issues were they organised an install date and a no show for the first install date with no explanation or phone call to organise another.
I had to contact VoltX customer support to organise again.
System is up and going but will need time to see its full benefit.

Amazed by value, product and team of Voltx
VoltX Energy recently installed our solar battery system, and the whole experience has been outstanding. The team was professional, efficient, and meticulous — the cabling is neat, the setup is clean, and they took the time to walk us through how to monitor and understand our usage. The battery charges smoothly during the day and reliably powers the home at night, exactly as promised, already reducing our grid reliance and giving us far more control over our energy use.What really stood out was the technicians’ commitment to getting everything perfect.
