Excellent Solar Panel, Inverter and Battery installation
We recently had solar panels, an inverter, and a battery installed by Banana Solar, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish.Allan was friendly, transparent, and highly professional throughout the process. He took the time to walk us through several options, happily adjusted quotes to suit our needs, and ultimately provided a very competitive price. His knowledge and organisation really stood out..
The installation itself was smooth and efficient. The panel installation was completed quickly, followed by the inverter and battery setup without any issues. Everything was handled with care and professionalism.
We’re also very impressed with the iSolarCloud app, which is user-friendly and provides clear, useful insights into our system’s performance.
Overall, we’re extremely happy with the outcome and would highly recommend Banana Solar to anyone considering a solar and battery installation.

Received 2 quotes. 1 supplier did not quote. 1 was more than twice the price of the one had installed .Install procedure went well. Quote was well laid out and explained

Trouble Free Process
Adrien did a very professional job surveying the property and providing a detailed quote.I was very concerned about the potential for broken tiles and roof leak after reading some reviews and horror stories. On the day of the installation, most things went smoothly with Johnny commenting the need to chip the bottom of the tiles to make them lie as flat as possible with other tiles with the mounting bracket inserted in between. There is a small gap but with the pitch of the roof, it will take hurricane force wind to blow the rainwater up through the gap. Still some worry there. There were two broken tiles that were replaced.
Allan did a great job in wiring the whole system. It looks nice and tidy with no long ugly conduit running along the wall.
All good up to this point. Commissioning the Fronius Inverter took a bit of time. Not the fault of the installer. Fronius just take a long time to update firmware and WiFi connections can be dodgy. One word of advice. Try to connect Fronius Inverter via Ethernet to your wifi modem if at all possible. Especially if it is far away from the Inverter. You will thank me later when the Inverter constantly lose Wi-Fi connection especially if it is windy.
The Fronius commissioning was eventually done the next day remotely. Not the installer fault. Fronius system is just a little complicated.
Allan emailed me to let me know all should now work.
We now have a couple of power bills came through since Apart from the fixed daily connection fee charged by Ausgrid which is a nuisance that cannot be avoided as well as the Dedicated Circuit which also cannot be avoided without rewiring. The power bill is significant lower. It will take a while to modify my usage to maximize the savings but at least I now have all the monitoring tools available.
There have been quite a few downpours since the installation and I’m happy to say there has been no leaks thanks to the flawless solar panel installation by Banana Solar

Great installer. Would highly recommend.
Really happy with my experience of getting our system with Banana Solar and have recommended them to friends. Allan was really helpful and transparent. He quoted us an appropriately sized system with really competitive pricing and gave us options for using cheaper or more premium parts to suit different budgets. Installation was fast, no dramas. Beyond thrilled – the best installer you’ll ever find
I have just had my SolaX battery system installed by Banana Solar – 15kW Hybrid Inverter, 32-plus kWh battery, AC-coupled into my existing Sungrow twin inverter system – and I could not be happier. This was a tricky install because of my setup (two inverters, four roof elevations, had to be AC-coupled), and Alan made it work flawlessly.Where other installers just wanted to push whatever they had in stock, Alan actually sat down with me, talked through every option, and made sure I got the system that suited my house and my usage. He gave me the confidence to go for the bigger inverter, he knew how to work around the complications of my layout, and he did it all at a super-competitive price.
What stands out is his commitment. When some system settings didn’t line up straight away, he worked until he solved it, and even came back on the weekend as soon as he had the answer to make sure everything was perfect. That sort of dedication is rare.
This is not my first job with Banana Solar. Alan installed my panels and inverters before, and I left a review back then about how good he was. When I put a deposit down for a battery earlier in the year and the rebate news dropped, Alan called me – not the other way around – and told me to hold off so I’d get the best deal possible. He could have taken my money, but instead he put me first. That says everything about the kind of operator he is.
Banana Solar deserve far more recognition than they get. I’ve been following SolarQuotes for years and it amazes me they haven’t made the “best installer” lists. With installers like Alan, it’s not a one-size-fits-all business. He takes on the jobs others say can’t be done, and he nails them.
I’m over the moon with my system, and I cannot recommend Alan and his team enough. If you’re lucky enough to have Banana Solar in your area, stop looking and call them.
Exceptional value, Great Experience, Highly Recommend
My experience with Banana Solar has been outstanding. Allan Wong and his team installed a 3 phase solar system for us over two days, and their professionalism was evident from start to finish. They advised us on the ideal placement for the battery and inverter, completed a very neat installation, and left the site spotless.At the time, we were still in the process of upgrading our home to 3 phase power, so the system was initially running on a single phase at the switchboard. Banana Solar set up three backup circuits—covering our kitchen, office, and hot water—and the system ran flawlessly in backup mode for more than seven weeks while we waited for our energy provider to install the new 3 phase meter.
We did encounter a minor issue where the system would briefly drop power for two seconds when switching from solar to battery. I contacted Allan, and he immediately reached out to Solax support. Solax performed a remote firmware update (seven in total), and the switchover issue was completely resolved. I was genuinely impressed by how quickly and effectively this was handled.
After the 3 phase meter was installed, another small issue appeared, the mobile app was displaying incorrect information, showing the house supplying power to the battery with no grid input. Again, I contacted Allan, and he personally came out on a weekend to work with Solax support on-site. It took a couple of days to identify the cause, but Allan and his team persisted until the issue was fully resolved.
I can now monitor my system easily through my iPhone and Apple Watch. The technology is excellent, the price from Banana Solar was unbeatable, and the installation and after sales support have been exceptional. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Banana Solar to anyone considering a solar installation.
