Ahlec Solar is a family owned business based on the Sunshine coast that has been installing solar PV across Queensland since 2010, and in more recent years solar batteries and EV chargers.

"We do not use sub-contractors, with all of our installations carried out by our own in house electricians. We are licensed electrical contractors, which means that we can and do employ our own teams of installers to carry out the work.
The whole process is carried out in house from a site visit to explain how Solar PV will work for you right through to completion of the solar system installation as well as a post installation follow up service.
We have carried out many thousands of solar PV installations, which is why we really understand it.We supply solar PV systems that are grid connected and we also supply off grid solar systems with batteries for more remote situations."

Expectations exceeded.
Ahlec completed the installation of our 16kW battery and an additional 10 x 470W solar panels to augment our existing 6.6kW of solar panels yesterday, 13th February.My wife and myself were very impressed in our dealings with Ahlec.
Both my wife and I come from a corporate background. We both have had considerable experience in dealing with companies, from sole operators to multi-nationals in the telecommunications and telepower space. Some good, and some not so good. From my past life I have considerable knowledge of solar power so I could compare scopes and quotes from a technical perspective.
From the initial sales process and quotes from Austin, the communication flow provided by the company, and the enthusiasm and technical knowledge of the installation team lead by Alex, we were impressed and gratified.

Great service from start to finish
I had a fantastic experience with Ahlec from start to finish. Everything was well organised, communication was clear, and the whole process ran smoothly. The installation team was efficient, effective, and provided great customer service including showing how to use the app. They were friendly, professional, and respectful on site. I was very happy with it all and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable high-quality service.

Just what I wanted!
From the first conversation to final install, the whole experience was excellent. I was very specific about what I wanted and the team delivered exactly as promised. Pricing was very competitive, the workmanship was tidy and professional, and the install crew were great to deal with.They were helpful, responsive, and happy to answer questions even after everything was completed. Highly recommend if you want quality work and a smooth process.

Always professional and communicated well
Ahlec were one of the recommended companies to provide a quote. Their pricing was competitive for all of the options we requested prior to finalizing our system sizes. We changed to 3 phase power supply, so our schedule was based somewhat around the Energex works. Sam & Alex communicated throughout all steps of the works, and were professional/courteous/tidy and happy to discuss/answer any questions we had. Once the install dates were agreed, Ahlec arrived on time and commenced work without delay.We recommend Ahlec to anyone in the area who is considering adding solar/battery.

Great service all round
Everything was professional, friendly and capable.Great communication pre and post installation.
Comprehensive sales/quoting process with customised solution reflecting my specific needs.
Not by some margin the least expensive quotation but 'you get what you pay for'. I checked/verified the products (solar panels, inverter, battery system) and they are the best quality - other quotes were cheaper but check on products/brand quality explained why.
Everything was organised seemlessly - all communications/payments to Energex, support for the fantastic App which allows us to know what is happening in real time and customise to our situation.
Every member of the Ahlec/Obrien team were a pleasure to deal/work with.

Trustworthy and Committed
All contact personnel gave clear, credible advice. Work was carried out efficiently. We were consulted and informed throughout the process.When a 'hitch' arrived in for form of a weather event that took power, phones and internet out for 4 days there was clear evidence that a solution was found in order to commission the system.
The workers were committed to a quality install despite the abnormal situation.
We are extremely happy with the sysyem.

Easy to deal with and, on the day, fast and efficient
The sales and quoting process was painless with visits from representatives to explain options and explain the installation process. Installation occurred on the two days nominated (unfortunately, they arrived four panels short but were back within a week to install the shortfall). Installers were polite, friendly and worked unobtrusively and fast. After a short period with the power turned off, everything was brought online and reconnected with a fully operational system. Email arrived almost immediately to advise how to download the app required to monitor the solar panels, battery and link with grid.
Professional and Courteous
I was given three options for different size systems.While the installation was interrupted by rain, it was completed in a timely manner.
The Ahlec team were professional, courteous and left the work area clean and tidy.
