Koala Solar is a local, family-run business based in sunny Perth, WA. Our installation team are CEC accredited solar installers – experienced electricians on a mission to help all West Australians achieve energy independence. Started in 2012 as Line Tech Energy, we became Koala Solar in 2015.
You’ll notice the systems we install are a little different: quality solar systems that include a 10-year workmanship warranty, aftercare support and maintenance.
Koala Solar provides residential and commercial solar systems in Perth and the South West region, with a wide range of solar panels, inverters and batteries available to add value to your property.
We are also Fronius Solutions Partner and Tesla Powerwall Certified Installers.
Koala Solar is an Approved Retailer of the Clean Energy Council of Australia, and our inhouse installers are qualified and CEC certified electricians. We have completed thousands of solar panel installations in Perth and throughout Western Australia suburbs. When you engage our services, you can expect:

Fantastic installer
The quoting process was fantastic. Sean took the time to explain the options and quoted a system that would best suit our requirements.Booking the installation was seamless and I was provided reminders leading up to the scheduled installation day.
The team that undertook the system installation were awesome. Their workmanship is excellent and they were very neat and tidy.
Overall I am extremely happy with Koala Solar.

Worth Waiting For
Worked hard on a rainy day to get the job done. Put up with my annoying questions and gave good handover advice. This was a word of mouth recommendation and I would also recommend using them. Stuart and team were very professional.EV Charger rating: 5/5

Great install experience!
Very happy with the service provided by Koala solar. From the detailed quote and competitive price prepared by Adam to the regular updates and bookings details provided by Bri. During the installation the Koala team were very professional, courteous and efficient. The quality of workmanship was excellent plus they were very tidy onsite. After the install they showed me how to use the Fronius inverter app and gave me tips on electricity usage. So happy with the overall experience and have no hesitation in recommending Koala Solar to my friends and family.03 June 2025
Extremely professional fantastic service
We had koala solar out to discuss putting solar onto our house.Very happy with their knowledge and professionalism, they were just fantastic.
They gave us a quote, and 2 weeks later we had it fitted.

Solid performance. Good clean installation.
Did exactly what they said they would do without fuss. Installers turned up on time and did what they said they would do quickly and efficiently without significant problems. Went to offer them coffee at smoko but they were almost finished.Cannot comment on value for money or quality of system yet but seem to perform to specifications.
Lost a star on customer service because the Feronius app is very unstable. I keep having to reset it and the videos I was referred to did not explain resetting adequately. I had to improvise and rest every few days. Not Koala's fault but the system is the one Koala supply.
Koala's customer Service themselves were very good and very responsive. Bri, their front of office and co-ordinator is excellent and easy to talk to. They didn't make the videos but they do supply the inverter.

Great team & install again
Once again, I've used Koala for another solar install (13.8kw system), and it was a pleasure to deal with Corey and the hard working team.They were very responsive from quote stage to completion, and completed the 3rd floor roof install efficiently, neatly and without any issues.
Definitely worth getting Koala Solar to look at your next install!

Fantastic!
Koala solar was easy to deal with, from the quote to the end install. They were not pushy in making you sign and answered all my questions.My father recommended Koala solar and I can see why. Great service, friendly and value for money.

Competitive Pricing, and great after install support
Adam was really up front and informative. He answered all my questions, and tailored a quote that fit my requirements. The price was far better than some other reputable competitors for the exact same system. No upfront deposit requirement also felt safe.Installation went flawlessly, The installer was freindly and disruption was kept to a minimum, the whole job took around 4.5-5 hours
After install support also was top notch. I emailed the company a couple of hours after install as I wanted to hook my system up to home assistant server, and they replied with the information i required within 20 mins.
Overall I am very happy with the install and the level of customer support. I am now looking to get a battery install and I will most definitely be going back to these guys.

Excellent customer service and workmanship!
The quote process was super quick and easy. They didnt try and sell me the most expensive package available and asked where i was comfortable price wise and we went from there. They managed to fit me in a lot earlier than we had scheduled which was perfect for me.On instal day they showed up exactly when they said they would and both installers were great to deal with, they got stuck in straight away and told me what to expect throughout the day.
The tidied everything up when they left and actually left the garage cleaner than before they came. They also did a great job covering up a hole I had in the brickwork from an old air con system which I was really happy with!
Before they left they set me up on the Fronius app and made sure it worked so i could track usage.
Would recommend Koala every time!

Yay. Free power

Fantastic service and communication.
From the first phone call, everyone we interacted with was attentive and respectful. The onsite visit allowed for us to ask questions, clarify our needs and determine the best configuration for what we wanted to achieve. There was no pressure during the process. The electronic quote system was clear and easy to use. The installers were punctual, organised, professional and polite. They communicated well and ensured we understood how the system operated and the app worked before they left. The installation was not invasive in any way. They were tidy and cleaned up after themselves.

6.6KW Solar System
Koala Solar came recommended to me by a friend and my experience with them has been flawless in every aspect from the initial advice on the most appropriate system for my home to the installation and advice on operation/monitoring of the system.Koala have taken all the hassle out of the solar installation for me and I'm more than happy with the quality of my new system and quality of the installation. The installation was completed within a few hours and the team engaged with me throughout and answered any questions I had.
I will not hesitate to engage Koala again for any upgrade to my system in future.

Reliable and Good Customer Service
We were put in touch with Koala Solar through the recommendation of SolarQuotes. Adam came out to our place to give us a quote. We found him to be knowledgeable and reliable. The system he recommended for us fitted our needs and preferences. We had some questions subsequent to his visit, and he proved to be very responsive to all our questions and concerns. Although the wait to have the system installed took a little time, the staff at Solar kept us well informed all through the process. On the day of the installation, the technicians turned up on time and were extremely polite and friendly. We are happy with their service attitude.14 April 2025

A family run business that provided exceptional, personable service.
From my first contact with Koala Solar, I felt confident I was finally getting the right information about solar energy. Before that, I had been overwhelmed by varying details and prices from other sources. Koala Solar took the time to explain a suitable option, along with two variants at different price points. When I called back later for clarification, they patiently and thoroughly explained everything, helping me make an informed decision.The installation process was outstanding. Koala Solar arrived on time, as promised, and took the time to walk me through the entire system. The work area was left spotless, and the installers were punctual, polite, and tidy.

Excellent experience with koala solar
This week koala solar installed our new solar system and we couldn’t be happier!From the moment we first contacted koala solar and asked them to come out to look at our roof structure and discuss positioning of the battery and inverter, which they did (something that other installers either won’t do or winge about doing!) through to the actual day of installation, we were impressed! Nothing was too difficult and the team worked professionally and courteously and left our house clean and tidy.
We both love the app that goes with the installation and being able to watch a live data feed of how much power the panels are generating into our house, battery and grid.
Well done guys. A great local WA family run business. We would not hesitate recommending this company.

"A-grade" quality Perth installer in every aspect from sales to installation
Quoting process: Took the time to listen and provide the information I needed to make a decision. Being an engineer I had a lot of questions. No pushiness, over specifying or over selling. In fact recommended I not used certain elements or components and the reason why.Installation: Got me an early install day much to my delight. Installers were punctual, polite, informative, and tidy.
Customer Service: Took control of everything and made the job easy for me. Answered my ongoing questions right up to install. All grid connection and paperwork was taken care of.
Things I felt I needed to do prior: I ensured the roof tiles were cleaned prior ready to be covered by the panels. I ensured I had spare tiles on hand to deal with any breakages. I eradicated some wasp nests so the installers wouldn't be confronted on the day of install. I checked for any potential shadowing that might occur where the panels were planned to go. Found a TV antenna that might potentially cause shadowing, but that was not problem, the installed adapted in ensured the positioning took those issues into account.

Amazing Team
I came across Koala Solar when doing research on Solarquotes.com.au. From first interaction to the whole process of installation was amazing.Stuart and the team rocked up at 7am as promised. Throughout the installation process, Stu kept me in the loop. The site was left with no mess at all.

Fast, efficient and great communicators
From start to finish, Koala Solar were ahead of the compeition. In particular was the way in which they communicated. I must apologiese for the number of emails, messages and calls I made, but Adam put me at ease with each question I fired over.On the day of the install, they were solid, courtious and done quicker than I expected. I am now watching our usage on the app and loving every second.
I look forward to engaging them again once we buy and EV and need a charger installed.

Very efficient, friendly and competent team.
Received a phone call the same day I was referred by Solarquotes. Sean listened to my needs and submitted two formal quotation the same day. Their price was very competitive and they follow a simple "sign a contract commitment" with full payment on job completion. Bree kept me informed on progress and did all the liaison with the energy suppliers. The installation team arrived on the date agreed 6 weeks before and was very professional and efficient. I am a very satisfied customer.

Had a fantastic experience with this solar power company! From start to finish, the team was punctual, professional, and incredibly efficient. They installed my 6.6kW system in just a few hours, and everything went off without a hitch.The inverter was installed in my very cluttered garage, but the team not only managed the job with no complaints—they actually left the area cleaner than it was before they arrived! They cleaned up after themselves thoroughly and took all their rubbish with them. If it weren't for the shiny new panels on my roof, you wouldn't even know they'd been here.
Now I'm enjoying free power and couldn't be happier. Thanks so much, guys! Great work all around.
