About

Koala Solar is a local, family-run business based in sunny Perth, WA. Our installation team are CEC accredited solar installers – experienced electricians on a mission to help all West Australians achieve energy independence. Started in 2012 as Line Tech Energy, we became Koala Solar in 2015.

You’ll notice the systems we install are a little different: quality solar systems that include a 10-year workmanship warranty, aftercare support and maintenance. 

Koala Solar provides residential and commercial solar systems in Perth and the South West region, with a wide range of solar panels, inverters and batteries available to add value to your property. 
We are also Fronius Solutions Partner and Tesla Powerwall Certified Installers. 

Koala Solar is an Approved Retailer of the Clean Energy Council of Australia, and our inhouse installers are qualified and CEC certified electricians. We have completed thousands of solar panel installations in Perth and throughout Western Australia suburbs. When you engage our services, you can expect:

Amazing Team

I came across Koala Solar when doing research on Solarquotes.com.au. From first interaction to the whole process of installation was amazing.

Stuart and the team rocked up at 7am as promised. Throughout the installation process, Stu kept me in the loop. The site was left with no mess at all.

Happy to recommend Koala Solar for your solar and battery installation. The team are amazing.

Fast, efficient and great communicators

From start to finish, Koala Solar were ahead of the compeition. In particular was the way in which they communicated. I must apologiese for the number of emails, messages and calls I made, but Adam put me at ease with each question I fired over.
On the day of the install, they were solid, courtious and done quicker than I expected. I am now watching our usage on the app and loving every second.
I look forward to engaging them again once we buy and EV and need a charger installed.

Very efficient, friendly and competent team.

Received a phone call the same day I was referred by Solarquotes. Sean listened to my needs and submitted two formal quotation the same day. Their price was very competitive and they follow a simple "sign a contract commitment" with full payment on job completion. Bree kept me informed on progress and did all the liaison with the energy suppliers. The installation team arrived on the date agreed 6 weeks before and was very professional and efficient. I am a very satisfied customer.

Fantastic Perth-based installed...highly recommended!

The guys from Koala Solar arrived promptly and on time, were very friendly to deal with, were very helpful explaining everything (I had a few stupid questions!), were tidy and super efficient and finished the entire install of the 15 JA panels, Fronius inverter and a Tesla EV charger in under 3 hours.

They even swept up the garage for me...bonus!!

Koala Solar are a fantastic company to get your solar through in Perth...highly recommended :)

Great customer service

After researching and getting a few quotes. I decided to go with this family business and was told the owner Stuart will install the solar panel. From the start to finished Koala was very easy to deal with, no pushy sale tactics and showed up on time. Stuart and his team were very polite and professional, gave me a run down on operation of the system. Highly recommended.

Friendly and professional. A pleasure to deal with

The quote was very competitive. Customer service personnel were responsive. Very happy with the service and all communication with them.

-Extremely punctual, came at exactly 7:00am
-Panels and inverter cleanly installed
-Start to finish took under 3 hours and they left before 10:00am
-Polite, professional, and answered any questions on the day
-Helped me setup the monitoring app
-They handled all necessary approvals with the electricity retailer

General tips for future solar customers:
-Advise your neighbours there will be hammering/drilling on the day
-Remember to get spare roof tiles before the installation day
-The power is disconnected for approx.15mins during the install window, for switchboard wiring
-They need access to your roof space to place a mandatory warning sign advising of live wires

Quick and professional install

No hassle quote from the team, quick chat on the phone with Sean who sent through a couple of quotes with a few different options. No pressure tactics and were happy to answer any questions I had. About a week later I accepted a quote and the team were very quick to start the process with Western Power. Solar was installed today just over two weeks wait. Installation went very smoothly and was given a clear rundown of the app and shutdown procedure of the inverter.

Amazing customer service

The process of getting quotes for the house was so simple and easy. The customer service was brilliant and took care of everything and I didn’t have to do a thing.

The installation was easy and done within about 4 hours and everything was hooked up without an issue.

Great to Deal With

Koala Solar have been really easy to deal with throughout the process, right across their sales, admin and installers.
They were really flexible when I had to change the scheduled install dates a couple of times, and have been really friendly and helpful at every stage.

The installation itself went really smoothly, and the guys did a good job making everything look very neat and tidy.

So far, I'm really happy with the solar system that's been delivered.

Smooth installation

Having spoken to 5 solar retailers, each of whom contradicted each other in at least some of their advice, I was struggling to pick a company to trust. The additional security of Solar Quotes’ backing and consistently good reviews were the main factors that drew me to engage Koala Solar. Koala’s pricing was also among the most competitive (which was a bonus, but also left me feeling a bit nervous!). I needn’t have been concerned. They patiently answered all my questions and booked me in for a prompt installation when I gave them the green light. Unfortunately the installation was cancelled at late notice due to staff on sick leave (understandable), but they went to the effort of scheduling a weekend installation to ensure I didn’t have more than a few days to wait. When the guys arrived, they were courteous and professional. Not only did they cause zero damage to my roof, they even replaced a couple of damaged tiles they discovered up there. The inverter was discretely installed and looks very neat and tidy. Before leaving, they installed my app, talked me through how to use it, what to expect in terms of email updates and alerts and who to contact in case of any issues. It’s only been up a few hours, so I can’t speak to the reliability/ durability/ etc, but it is working perfectly so far. Very easy process, and a pleasure to deal with these guys.

Very Good installer and Price

I had a fantastic experience with Koala Solar for the installation of my solar panel system. From start to finish, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and highly efficient. They installed an 11kW solar panel system along with a Sungrow hybrid inverter and battery, and I couldn't be happier with the results.
The installation process was smooth, and the team was meticulous in ensuring everything was done to the highest standard. They took the time to explain how the system works and made sure I was comfortable with the setup before they left. The Sungrow system they recommended is performing exceptionally well, and I've already noticed a significant reduction in my energy bills.
If you're considering going solar, I highly recommend Koala Solar. They offer top-notch products and excellent customer service. Thanks to their expertise, I'm now enjoying clean, renewable energy in my home!

Top workmanship, prompt service

After being harassed for years by solar canvassers I decided to go with a family run local company that didn't door knock offering "amazing deals and threats of the ending rebate"
Koala solar stood out for me, prompt response to my enquiry.
Offered affordable options to suit my needs,
Honest and true workmanship.
Tidy and timely.
From enquiry to install date was 1 week and job done in under 4 hours.

Quick and Efficient Installer

After researching and asking around, we had a couple of people recommend Koala. We reached out to them and they sent us quote for a solar system installation. It took us a while to decide to pull the trigger on the installation but in that time, they didn't try reaching out by following up every few days - which I really appreciated.

For the installation, they came at the time they said and were polite and tidy. After the installation they showed me and explained how the app works.
