Victoria’s Best-Rated Solar Installers: 2025

VIC top rated solar installers

2025’s best- rated solar installers in VIC based on customer reviews published on SolarQuotes have been determined. Find out who the three winners are here.

The best-rated Victorian installation companies for 2025 were decided following analysis of customer reviews of solar installers listed on the SolarQuotes website. A weighted calculation was used so smaller operators with fewer reviews were on a more equal footing with their larger competitors. Analysis included all installers active in Victoria; not only those who are part of the SolarQuotes referral network.

First Place –  Brightworks Solar

Knoxfield-based Brightworks Solar is a family business that installs solar, battery storage, hot water heat pumps and EV charging solutions across Melbourne’s bayside, southeastern, western and northern suburbs, and the Mornington Peninsula.

Commenting on taking out first place, Brightworks Solar said:

“We are so thrilled to be recognized by SolarQuotes as the best installer in Victoria for the last 12 months.

At Brightworks, the customer experience is at the heart of everything we do! As business owners, we are the customer’s first point of contact and that really sets us apart from other companies.

We have built an incredible team of talented electricians who work alongside Anthony to deliver exceptional installations and aftercare for the life of our systems.

We truly do listen to our customers’ needs and what goals they are trying to achieve with their system, and design accordingly.

Site visits are also at the core of our sales model, they help us ensure we are quoting for and delivering exactly what our customers want. At Brightworks, we believe that creating strong personal relationships with our customers is as important as the installation itself!

We would like to thank all our customers for choosing Brightworks Solar for their solar and battery installation. In such a competitive industry, we recognize the trust that has been placed in us, and we are so looking forward to maintaining these systems for our customers for many years to come!”

SolarQuotes’ National Installer Awards

We’ve previously published the winners in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia for 2025 — all that remains are the winners in the ACT, Tasmania and Northern Territory; which will be revealed next week.

All state/territory first-place winners will be finalists in the national 2025 SolarQuotes Installer Awards. The national winners will be announced on October 28, 2025; so stay tuned.

Installers participating in the SolarQuotes network have been sent invitations to attend the awards night — which coincides with the All-Energy Australia conference and exhibition in Melbourne — and need to RSVP if attending, or email us here.

Wherever in Australia you call home, if you’re looking to slash your household energy costs by installing solar panels, home batteries, EV chargers or hot water heat pump systems, SolarQuotes can take your requirements and match them with up to three carefully pre-vetted installers. And for extra peace of mind, the work performed by installers referred through our quoting system is backed by the unique SolarQuotes Good Installer Guarantee.

Lawrence Hilliker here. I wanted to alert you to a very poor customer experience I’ve had with Solahart. Installed a goodwe battery into a system they had installed major components into. 5kw pv and power store hot water system. That raised total pv to 11.88kw total capacity. Enough to max out the 10kw inverter they installed. After 2 months of fighting them that they’d installed it incorrectly they finally relented corrected the problem. It was simple. They hadn’t installed the inverter properly. Instead of connecting and enabling all 3 banks of pv they only did one. Very very pissed off with both the franchisee and rheem. Anyway I’m expanding the battery but will not use them ever again. I’ve asked Jetsolar and Brightworks
They destroyed an excellent customer relationship.
    Stupid beyond comprehension.

      Hi Lawrence,

Was is an SQ recommendation that got you the poor service?

We have some Solahart operators on the books but not all of them.

And of course we want the feedback to help intuited the service in any case.

Ned will likely contact you for some details soon.

      Thanks for letting us know.

      Cheers

No. I need a hot water replaced and one thing led to another. It was going very well up until the battery and inverter upgrade. Solahart Melbourne was the franchisee
