Their vision was to run a company with the moral foundation and values of a family business, with the professionalism and leverage of the big end of town. Quality and efficient installation
We found dealing with Green very easy and their quotation was detailed and very competitive. The installation by their subcontractor Rick was quick and efficient and they took away all rubbish and left the site very clean. Rick also did all the registration and provide a detailed guidance installation and use of the Tesla application. I highly recommend their services.02 March 2026

Super sales service/Poor customer service
Please disregard the star rating for 'quality of system', and 'installation' as I had to rate these to publish this review.We paid a $500 deposit on 16 January this year with Green.com.au for the purchase and installation of Alpha Batteries. Sea, the sales person was brilliant at following up and providing us with the best rebate for the system, calling us daily until we finally signed on dotted line. Unfortunately since then we have been left in the dark. We paid the deposit on 16 January 2026 and after a number of call to the service department we still don't have an installation date. I understand there is a backlog due to the government rebates, but would think that in the least, Green.com could keep us updated on an installation date. I'll keep this post updated on the installation when it finally occurs. I highly recommend when engaging an installer you firm up an installation date prior to handing over the deposit.

Simple process, great customer service and excellent Installers
From the quote to the installation, the process was simple, efficient and the customer service of a very high standard. I was very impressed with sales guys and the installers who provided great customer service, were informative and left the place clean and tidy. So easy to work with.
Katie was the sale rep we used. She made the whole process smooth and easy. There was no pressure just great communication and all questions were answered without delay. Avoid
Avoid - Spent serious money with Green Solar expecting a reliable system and proper support. What I got was the opposite.The battery doesn’t charge during blackouts. Only some switches work when the power goes out. The system doesn’t export properly when the battery is full. It simply does not perform as promised.
Customer service is terrible. They rarely answer the phone, and when they do, no one seems to know what they’re talking about.
For the price they charge, this is unacceptable. I regret choosing Green Solar. Do your homework before signing anything.

Hassle free experience
Battery installed today and now waiting on government inspection to turn system on. Sales and quoting process went smoothly. Installation went well, arrived on time and took excess waste away. Customer service was great. Only small issue was communication from service install people (not installing electrician) regarding battery location for install.Supplier Reply:

Go Green
I am very happy to 5-star endorse green.com as an excellent company to deal with. Honest advice and friendly service meant it was a pleasure to deal with them. The price was very competitive, and despite changing my mind quite a few times after I did my own research, they were very willing to adjust their quotes. The install was quicker than expected, and when finished, the inspector came in a few days. There was an error in correctly starting the system made by the inspector, but green was onto it quickly, taking me through the correct procedure. As well, the installer sent someone to ensure it was all working correctly. Overall, I am very happy with the service and can fully understand why they receive so many 5-star reviews.Inverter rating: 5/5

Seamless installation.
Joseph and Lara installed my solar battery. This was done very professionally, with Joseph explaining to me at every step what he was doing and Lara providing efficient support. Excellent customer service,When finished and after an efficient cleaning up, I was presented with a very professionally installed neat battery which is working well so far after 8 days.
The sales/quoting process was efficient and carried out by very courteous staff who sounded as if they were enjoying their job.

Brilliant AC coupled battery option
We’re two weeks into having our solar battery installed and couldn’t be happier. The price was significantly better than some of the local installers, so we felt like we were taking a bit of a risk going with Green.com.au — but they have absolutely impressed us.The battery performance has been excellent so far, and we can already see the benefits stacking up. It’s functioning exactly as expected and has made a noticeable difference.
The installers were fantastic — friendly, professional, and very efficient. Was grateful that they were able to stack the battery out from the wall to minimise the footprint in the garage. It looks sleek and tidy. The whole process was smooth, and the follow-up service has also been excellent.
Overall, the entire package has been perfect for our needs. Great value, great service, and great performance. Highly recommend.

Great company, good installation
I did obtain a number of quotes for the similar sized system, after much due diligence, I decided on this company.They installed in well before the time they originally said, their installers were very professional, and really did a fantastic job.

Great from start to finish!
Green.com.au stuck to their word! The process started by Ryan reaching out and finding out what I needed for my home. Rather than just bombarding me with multiple quotes and brands, he got it down to the kw and kwh. (slighlty future proofing as expect EV in next 24 months). Ryan stuck with me every step of the way with the help of his engineers and finally Nathan their installer did a smashing job. I now look forward to many years of renewable energy savings. The tradies were great!

Green - exceptional customer service and technical excellence
As the secretary of our strata committee, it fell to us to locate a suitable business to partner us in installing solar panels on a number our owner roofs (we ultimately had just on a 20% uptake within our 65 villa complex).We settled on Green.com.au and we are so glad we did, their attention to detail, specifically focused on outstanding individual customer service made this project one of the smoothest and easiest projects to date. I'm happy to recommend Green.com.au
This is the second time we have used Green.com.au and I remain very happy to recommend them.A couple of years ago they advised us against over investing when we upgraded our solar cells. We had wanted to add a battery but they convinced us based on our usage to go for a better sized quality solar panel array.
Now that feed in tariffs and the cost of electricity have changed so dramatically they agreed the time was right to add an appropriately sized battery, again not overselling.
Their service and installation teams have been very easy to deal with and very efficient.

New battery looks good - Nearly 5 months from start to Switch On. Green need to manage customer’s expectations better.
The sales and quoting process was very easy, with prompt follow up, however once I paid my deposit (17/09/2026) things went very quiet with very few updates on progress. It had been indicated by the sales team that installation would be in 4 to 5 weeks after deposit. I understand that the industry is very busy however Green need to make it clear what the timelines are. I finally received an update on the 28th of November, which indicated installation would take place in 2026. Shortly after we got good news that the installation would take place on December 15. The installation looks very neat. Once completed the installer is meant to arrange for an inspection to take place. I believe the installer is required to do this immediately. The installer told me inspection would be about 2 weeks. The inspection finally occurred on February 5. I made repeated calls to Green to find out when inspection was scheduled only to be informed that it was the Victorian Government’s fault that it had not taken place evidently this is incorrect. I understand that there was some delay in the installer lodging the documents to get the inspection made.Whilst this review is not glowing I must add that every person I had contact with was very courteous in their manner.

Knowledgeable and honest advice and attention to queries and energy needs.
Braith from Green.com was so helpful with no hard sell during the design and finalisation of the new battery and inverter system to compliment our existing Solar Edge array. Unlike other providers that insisted and quoted the need for extra work, modifications to existing system or larger capacity components than needed. Braith was patient with reviewing our historic use, expected energy needs and our interest in a becoming a more sustainable energy user and doing our bit to compliment the countries renewable program.After we settled on a smaller system we eventually did review our decision and ended up adding a second battery to increase our potential energy storage. We asked Braith and his engineer to recheck that the system would meet our new expectations.
Green.com organised everything leading up to installation day.
The Installation team was Bluegum Renewables led by Leroy and his crew. They turned up on time with all the gear needed. Again a very professional trade team. Good knowledge, flexibility and communication prior to site set up, checking all existing system and ideas and best options for finalising location of new components and cable run. We also had a discussion about how the new components work in with old solar system. This was good for us because it again confirmed the odd concern and queries we had when working with Braith and Green.com during the design stage. We got a quick briefing of how the whole system works. Solar, the coupled inverters and the batteries, and how it all ties into the live grid and during a blackout.
Leroy also left his contact details to call if we thought there was any problems or had questions.
The whole install was painless.

The system has been in for a few weeks now and so far everything working well according to the new Alpha App. We can see our solar and batteries are working well together and the smaller 5 kw inverter is adequate for our energy needs and load demand.
We are now storing heaps of power and have started selling excess back to the grid both in the middle of the day as well as our stored battery power during peak load times. When Winter arrives when the sun is lower and the panels more shaded by trees it will be a different story but so far we expect to have adequate storage and solar feed in to continue to not need to rely on the grid at all.

Extremely poor customer service
The main issue has been connecting my system to the grid, which still hasn't happened nearly 18 months after installation.Despite me emailing and chasing the company for the last 8 months, the response that I get is that they are having trouble and the latest solution hasn't worked. I continuously have to chase them, which isn't acceptable.
The sales pitch at the start of the process was very slick however the service since then has been abysmal, slow to respond to queries and I have had to always chase them for answers.

Friendly and easy deal with Green.com.au

Jury is still out.
Let me be clear, I do not have an easy property for a solar battery install, not impossible just not easy.Greens contacted me and seamed very professional in their company approach, The sales person was polite and helpful, but perhaps a little dismissive of my concerns about the Switchboard configuration and battery location.
Green's quote was very reasonable and deposit paid.
The operations team have been helpful but have raised the same concerns I did about the switch board and possible battery location. After some telephone back and forth Greens decided to sent out an installer to do a sight inspection and he confirmed my suspicions that the switchboard would need an upgrade and that I really don't have any easy alternatives to the battery location apart from the original location I suggested.
Now I am waiting for the Greens operations team to confirm that they are OK with both battery location and switch board upgrade before battery installation can proceed.

Painless Process
The overall experience with Green was very good. They were pretty focussed on selling the Alpha ESS 26kwh battery and 5kw inverter which I eventually went with. Would have been better to have some other options.The installation process went very smoothly with plenty of communication leading up to the install and a very professional install crew.

Hoping for the best
Customer Review of My Solar Installation Experience (Green.com.au)I received several emails asking me to rate Green.com.au, but I waited until my system was fully installed and operational before giving feedback.
Sales & Pre?Installation
I ordered a 7.48?kW solar system with a 26.66?kWh battery in early October 2025. My sales consultant, Ryan Armstrong, was excellent. He clearly explained the installation process and even sent links showing how the panels would be mounted on my roof. I signed the quote and paid the $500 deposit.
Unfortunately, after that, communication dropped off. Nearly two months passed with very little contact from Green. I was eventually told the system would be installed by the end of December.
Scheduling & Changes
In late December, after asking whether I should cancel and go elsewhere, I was suddenly given a site visit date (6 Jan 2026) and installation date (8 Jan 2026). Green also informed me that the originally quoted 17 x 400?W panels were unavailable and offered 15 × 470?W panels instead. I accepted this change and signed the revised contract.
Installation Experience
The installation itself was the highlight of the entire process. Christian Gonzalez from Renewable Energy Group and his team did an excellent job. They were professional, informative, and answered all my questions.
Unfortunately, about six hours after installation, the inverter failed. Christian returned that evening, made the system safe, and followed up the next day. AlphESS attempted a remote software fix, which didn’t work, so Christian returned again and coordinated with AlphESS to determine that the inverter needed replacement. His responsiveness and professionalism were outstanding.
Billing Issues
During all of this, Green continued sending final invoices — three different versions, all with errors.
• The first invoice was based on the original quote (incorrect).
• The second had the correct price but incorrect STCs.
• The third was finally correct.
The accounts team needs better communication with sales and installation, as this caused unnecessary back?and?forth during an already stressful period.
System Performance So Far
The system has now been running for four days.
• I’ve earned about $2.77 in feed?in tariff.
• My grid consumption has noticeably dropped.
• Green has now been paid.
I’m looking forward to seeing my next power bill to understand the real world impact.
Overall
• Sales experience: Excellent
• Installation team: Outstanding
• Communication & admin: Needs significant improvement
• System performance: Too early to fully judge, but promising so far

Exceptional installer
Our installer was a fellow called Joshua from Salisbury, which is quite some distance from our home. Despite this, Joshua arrived by 9am and simply got on with the job of installing the battery, we already have solar panels. It was a very hot day but Joshua worked fastidiously despite the heat, staying good natured! The finished job looks very good.When the installation was completed Joshua was happy to answer all our questions and explained very clearly how to get the best from the battery, giving us a good understanding of all the information the battery offers.
There is one improvement I would like to mention. While we had excellent communication with the support team in Sydney, letting us know when to expect the installer to arrive. I have to admit I was dubious, half expecting no one would show up. I would have liked to have had a call beforehand from the installer himself, confirming the instillation date. Somehow that would have reassured me.
But all in all, VERY happy!

Good but delayed
Dealing with Green was easy throughout the whole process. Communication was excellent and the staff informative and helpful. Installation was also first rate, the installer arriving on time, working neatly and cleaning up afterwards. My only concern is that the process was quite drawn out due to delays in battery delivery. New, larger, battery and inverter connected to my old PV panels.
I live in a rural area without much choice of installer. Green was not a local company, but their quote was professional and competitive, and their communication was good. They turned up on the day as planned and finished the install quickly. They made sure my system was connected to the manufacturers app and was working well before they left.Battery rating: 5/5

Good Endorsements Pay Dividends.
I was contacted by Ryan from Green.com.au and could not have been more impressed with his consultative method of sales and quoting which ultimately resulted with me signing up with Green.com.auThe contractors involved with my installation could not be faulted in all aspects and they should personally receive every pat on the back that they get and they explained the finer points of the operation of the system to me in laymans terms.
Post a minor hiccup of the installation, Ryan and the customer service team came up trumps in the end.

Green Provided False Information During Sales Process
During the sales process, a representative of Green, made representations that the system would allow the battery to charge at 10kw speed, taking advantage of both the new solar panel installation and the existing one. This was confirmed in writing on 17/06/2025. Upon later inspection and confirmation from Green, it was revealed that the information provided was false, and the battery system could only charge at a maximum of 5kw.When contacted, Green repeatedly did not provide a resolution. Despite the original issue being raised 18 days ago from the writing of this review, Green has not contacted me with a plan to resolve the issue. They have also not replied to my latest email sent 3 days ago or the last phone call a week ago. This behaviour is unacceptable.

Outstanding service from start to finish
From the start with Tom being the first and in fact only provider to make contact after numerous enquires he was more than helpful suggesting that we only needed a 13.3 kWh battery after looking at our electricity bill.I was more looking at a 20kwh system unfortunately with AlphaEss they don’t have one so we went with two 13.3 as the cost to upgrade with the government rebate was a no brainer. I signed the contract on the 7/1 with the understanding that there was a 6 week wait on installation. However on the 12/1 was advised that they had had a cancellation for the 13/1 in my area and were able to do the installation. I received a call on the morning of the installation to say the batteries I was supposed to get were out of stock however Green were going to upgrade them to two 15kwh latest models at no extra charge instead of cancelling the install until the original batteries were back in stock which I thought was outstanding customer service.
Indra and his offsider were very polite and worked tirelessly all day and did a terrific job cleaned up and took all the rubbish away, had to do a partial upgrade on the switchboard which did cost more but was made aware prior to the install day.
All the people at green including Tom, Dan ,Will and Julia have been very helpful and made sure everything was as my expectation could not fault the company.
Battery was commissioned on the 16/1 and at present working perfectly, I will edit this post after a few months once I have a few bills to compare.
By the way I have a 6.4 kw solar system which is 3 years old Trina panels and Goodwe 5.4 inverter
On the day of commission batteries came at 40% charged turned on at 2pm by the time the batteries started to discharge around 8 pm the batteries were at 88% , only discharged 6% overnight so should be fully charged by 11 am then feeding back into the grid.

Be careful what you are getting installed!
I am writing this review because they asked me to, I will be as honest as I can be.Back in August Green.com.au gave me a quotation to install a battery system. I chose them because they only asked for a modest upfront deposit until the system was installed. Every other company demanded full payment when the installation was booked. So I expected they were a genuine company. They told me they couldn't install before October and I accepted that and paid the deposit.
October came and went without any contact. I contacted them and they said sorry we have been busy and we can maybe do it in December.
They told me they had the equipment.
I contacted them again in December and they told me that it would maybe have to Janurary. They called me back and said they could install it in the second week of Janurary.
The subcontractor installer contacted me, asked a few questions. The sub contractor carrier delivered the equipment 2 days before the installation date. The installer arrived when he said he would and completed the installation. Unfortunately when he was comissioning it he in consultation with the equipment supplier determined a system component was faulty. The installer provided my details the the equipment supplier AlphaESS and said it would be one to two weeks before they could come out.
Now more than a week later nobody has contacted me from either Green.com.au or AlphaESS about when they intend to come out. I have called Green.com.au four times and each time they say thet will get back to me and they don't. They have however sent me the invoice to pay, I emailed them back saying I will pay it when they deliver a working system. I have also emailed and have yet to get a reply. I also got and email to write a review, which I am guessing they won't like but it is how it is. Whilst I acknowledge the equipment fault is not really their issue they are responsible to deliver a working system.
Throughout the whole process outward their communication is lacking. It really doesn't take that long to pick up the phone. They do however answer the phone when you call them.
Hopefully the installation will be sorted out before the debt collectors start nagging me.
UPDATE: I called again this morning and still don't have a response. Nobody call me back again. I also called AlphaESS and they informed me that the inverter that was installed at my place had previous been installed in Jan 2025 at another property and had been replaced under warranty. So it gets worse. AlphaESS was also going to call me back before the end of the day and didn't. There seems to be a dispute between Green.com.au and AlphaESS about what happened and which company is replacing the 2nd hand faulty inverted installed at my place. I have made many calls, all initiated by me. I've made the comment that they should be thinking about compensating me for the lack of communication and poor service. They shouldn't be supplying or installing 2nd hand equipment when it is supposed to be new. That really is inexcuseable. Especially when it is known to be previously be faulty. I am not sure the batteries are new either. It could be a complete 2nd hand system they have dumped on me, who knows. Maybe they will communicate with me tomorrow, maybe not. Time will tell. I am now losing faith in both companies.

Alpha.ESS Smile 5 Battery Supply and Installation
Couple of years ago the guys from Green.com.au fitted my panels and SMA inverter and I was thoroughly happy with the job and customer service provided start to finish..so I had no hesitation when it came time to purchase my battery finally.After some discussions with Dustin I took his advice and went ahead and purchased a Alpha.ESS Smile 5 Battery Supply and Installation.
Could not be happier with the customer service provided by the likes of Emma and Will just to name a few.. good updates on progress through to installation and onto payment.
Like to also thank my installer Bailey and his offsider Mary from Poweron Electrical Pty Ltd for the very professional job as well as being friendly polite and cleaned up when finished..

The process of getting a quote to final installation was great. The customer service team was always prompt in returning calls and always had the information I needed. The installation was quick and painless. The team were on time and left everything as tidy as they found it. The post installation session was informative and he didn't leave until I was clear on the switch off instructions and the app was up and running. As it turned out we had a blackout 30 min after the system was connected so we were able to see how that worked as well. Paid a deposit on the 27 th November then after that really no communication had to email them on the 8 th December and ask what is happening ,there reply was not helpful at all and still waiting for any further response so at this stage thinking I’ve been scammed .Supplier Reply:

A well integrated sales, installation, and performing solar battery program
Green.com.au did an excellent job of explaining the battery options available to us, how each would interact with the existing solar system, the installation process, and the rebate program.The installers arrived when they said they would, explained what they would be doing, were courteous and professional when asked how things were going, and demonstrated the system’s operation when they completed the installation.
The inspection a week or so later was without fault and they system has been operating without problems during the month between installation and writing this review.

Painless purchase and excellent installation
I used Green for a battery addition to my existing 6.6kW solar system. Green recommended a suitably sized battery and completed all of the necessary paperwork with SAPN (South Australia). A painless experience for myself with Green keeping me informed throughout the process.Following the successful installation of an Alpha ESS battery to my home, I wish to acknowledge the work of Centrifuse Energy, Green's contractor.
The installer was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and willing to share his knowledge with me, a retired electrical/electronics technician with many questions. I was impressed with his neatness and attention to detail including use of a spirit level on short ducting runs. Even working alone, the installation was completed in less than a day due to his familiarity with both the product and his electrical expertise.
Green is also to be commended for using contractors such as Centrifuse Energy.
Many thanks and I can see the benefits to lowering my power costs significantly, even after only 10 days.

green.com.au installed my Alpha ESS battery
Had a 13.34kwh battery added to my existing solar setup. Tom (sales) assisted me to select an appropriate battery size. He was easy to contact via phone call, txt and email, and was always polite. Taking the time to sort things out with me.Kevin took over with the logistics of installation, and did this with a minimum of fuss and much quicker than I'd expected. Kevin was also very pleasant and easy to get in touch with. The above 2 employees ensured that I received the max govt rebate by making it all happen in time before the rebate stepped down. Thanks guys!
Zhe was the installer and was polite, efficient, knowledgeable and easy to chat to and ask questions of. Thanks to Zhe and his team.
The battery is working as expected in first week. Minimal grid energy usage since it was installed.
My one suggestion or gripe with the entire green.com.au experience is that it would help a lot if they visited the site prior to install to guarantee the installation area would meet the Aust Standards. This would have put me more at ease.
Thanks to William too who ensured that I received the warranty, CCEW and paperwork after the job was done.
Overall, very happy with result and would recommend green.com.au
