Excellent panel installation in 2019 but no response in 2025 when my Enphase Envoy failed and when I wanted a battery added. installed
In 2019 I had full praise for Soltek's installation of twenty Winaico panels with Enphase Microinverters and an Envoy communications Gateway. As an engineer, I appreciated the use of low corrosion materials like aluminium rails, stainless steel riser brackets and stainless steel fasteners. Also no external conduits on my brick wall.I recommended Soltek to two friends and they were both very happy with their installations.
In mid 2025 I rang and asked to go on Soltek's waiting list for two Enphase batteries to be installed. Nine months later I am still waiting to be contacted to arrange installation. While waiting, my Envoy Gateway failed and I asked Soltek for help to repair/replace it. Five months later I am still waiting. I was given the mobile number of the relevant staff member and three times I rang him but had to leave a message each time. Too disinterested to answer his phone apparently. I still have not received a return call. (Eventually, I gave up and engaged a different company to install two Enphase batteries, with a wait time of only three weeks.)
Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Soltek Energy.

No help with warranty claim
Soltek Energy are fine with up-front sales and installation but if you need to make a warranty claim you can forget it. When one of my LG solar panels malfunctioned, back in July 2025, I contacted Soltek to make a claim under the so-called 25-year warranty. Soltek did nothing but make empty promises. In desperation, I finally contacted LG direct, who asked for a single technical reading to be taken, in order to confirm the malfunction. All Soltek had to do was send someone round to my house for half-an-hour, to take this one reading. It is now almost March and I am still waiting.Soltek’s terms and conditions state: “During the Guarantee Period, we will provide reasonable assistance to you in making any guarantee or warranty claim against the manufacturer of the System, including by acting as your liaison with the manufacturer.”
Unfortunately, they have no intention of honouring their promise. All I have had from Soltek is eight months of empty promises and hollow excuses. Any warranty with Soltek is not worth the paper it is written on and I have now given up with them.

Competitively Priced and Reliable
Soltek provided a very competitive quotation compared to the other companies we approached. Their proposal included all the information we needed to make an informed decision, and they were quick to respond to our questions. They were also the only company to offer an onsite inspection, which gave us additional confidence in their approach. The equipment supplied for our 13.3 kW solar system and 30 kWh battery was high quality, and the team arrived on time and completed the full installation, including the grid connection, on the same day.
We did experience a few minor teething issues after the install, but Soltek addressed these promptly within a few days, and the system has performed as expected ever since. Some brief instructions or guidance on system configuration would have been helpful, though there is plenty of information available online.
Overall, we’re quite happy with the results.

My review
There was originally some issues with delivering what I had ordered, I had ordered the hot water diverter and they could not source it for an unknown after the initial install date so I just removed it from the installation.Initially the self consumption widget option was broken and took may weeks to source a replacement. That was an option with additional cost.
After about 6 years I am very happy with the overall performance of the system. I have not really noticed any degradation of the solar panels. 5KW inverter with 6.6KW of panels.

Pleased I chose Soltek.
I received quotes from four companies, one of which was a company that friends had dealt with (I did not choose that company). I met with two suppliers, and went with Soltek as their representative was very knowledgeable and in particular, didn't try to 'upsell', even when I relayed suggestions from friends as to certain aspects of the system. He explained everything really well, with scenario examples. My knowledge in this field is minimal, to say the least, so I was grateful for his advice. The installation was done today and the installers were excellent. They arrived on time, were polite, friendly, and left absolutely no mess. They explained how the system works, showed me the app which monitors the system, and how that works, and answered all my questions. I highly recommend Soltek. However, I have raised with them the fact that their communication was a little lax between paying the deposit and the installation date. There was apparently a shortage of components which they were awaiting from China, which is reasonable, but I did raise my concerns with them that they should have kept me updated via email or a phone call, rather than me having to be the one to chase them. I think this is an administrative failing which should be addressed.
Aside from this, I would still recommend Soltek.

Fantastic, could not be happier
It has been six months since the installation of the 13.2 KW SolarEdge and battery system. In short, everything has been running great. I work from home and have two Uni students here, “far too much”. On one sunny day, I used the ducted air-con, oven, cook top, dishwasher, and washing machine and paid nothing. My feedback on the installers: I appreciated the pre-installation site visit. They were on time, professional, solutions-oriented and meticulous. They left the place tidy and removed all materials. Their communication was always clear, always taking the time to answer my questions, no matter how small. But most importantly, they were just great guys.
As always, there were minor issues here and there. However, they took the initiative to engage with Head Office proactively and followed up so that all issues were promptly resolved.
Communication and customer service pre and post installation with Head Office has been excellent.
Regarding the sales process. The agent was always available for calls and questions throughout the quote process and determination of the correct system, coming in person to my house twice. Communication was clear, and he provided everything I needed to understand to make an informed decision. In short, it was straight talk, not "sales talk”
So, touch wood, long may things continue.

No regrets with Soltek
Great company for the near-total amateur. They returned my calls promptly, answered my questions in language I could understand, then gave me time to research other outcomes and/or potential problems for myself. I appreciated them not doing the 'hard sell' and appreciated their no-fuss resolution to a problem that occurred in the initial installation of the solar panels. I followed up with battery installation and was just as impressed. The installers were very helpful- clear and patient in their explanations and made great suggestions how I could maximise the benefits of my new solar system. I have no doubt that if, in the future, I run into problems or forget some aspects managing the system, that they will provide me with helpful advice and/or a speedy resolution. Thankyou Soltek08 August 2025
Brilliant all-round Experience
I had Damien attend to my house was very polite, he had walked me through all the options I could have of a solar and battery combination at my house with a hot water unit. I had settled on a red X system with a 20kw battery and a reclaim hot water tank. The install process was quick and the staff I had engaged with were friendly well informed and educated on the products.
The office informed me very well of the Government rebates I was entitled too and always kept me posted on my install date.
I had my install done by Blake he was a massive help very approachable throughout the day, keeping me posted on all activates that had to take place at my home, He alike the staff at Soltek and the technician walked me through the Red X system monitoring app as well.
I have just received my bill with a family of 6 in winter and have been credited 20 bucks this a lot better compared to my average 600 dollar bill I was receiving preinstall.
I Recommend the RED X system, Jinko panels and a hot water unit from Damien and his team.

Atrocious Service
Good luck with trying to get service from Soltek during warranty. Support and service during warranty is almost non existent.I have a problem since 07-Apr-2025, first reported to Soltek on 23-April, 2025. Have been following up almost on a weekly basis with Soltek Support person.
No action yet, just excuses.
May need to get Dept. of Fair Trading Involved
Supplier Reply:
The Client made the request directly to Enphase first.Enphase told the client to contact the installer/us.
The customer contacted us and we contacted Enphase on behalf of the customer.
Soltek contacted Enphase on multiple times, told us to send a tech out, without looking into the site envoy.
We had to explain to Enphase multiple times again that the issue was an Enphase programme issue.
Enphase finally admitted that the issue was in there programme.
Enphase fixed the issue without any site visit as it was an Enphase issue,

Disappointing experience, zero customer service
Panels were installed within a week of accepting their quote. Battery took 3 months before it was installed, though I was told it would be 6 weeks. An additional panel was installed afterwards, as they didn't maximise roof capacity initially (which was the brief), but his panel still isn't producing energy according to the app, despite weeks of trying to get it sorted.
Emails are not replied to. When calling or messaging i typically get the response that their engineer is looking at it, but without anything actually being resolved.
After installation our roof started leaking. We had a roofer come to inspect and he advised us a roof tile was broken due to the installation. Now we'll need them to take away one panel and fix this..
It's great to have solar + battery, but it shouldn't be such a painful process.

Thank you Joppe for the feedback.Apologies - unfortunately not all jobs go to plan. We are dealing with old roof tiles so exact positioning cannot always be guaranteed.
With regards to battery wait times, your particular battery have high demands and batteries are limited due to late shipments and the supply chain.
As you requested an additional panel to be installed as well as bird netting we accidently broke a tile that was not noticed. We repaired it as soon as we found out and no internal damage was done.
With your concerns of emails not being replied to this is due to a SolarEdge optimizer not performing and we were on the phone to Solaredge to sort the issue out. We tried to make you aware of this.
SolarEdge can take time and even days for their engineers to solve the issue. We had numerous calls, emails even text messages each day from you, that we answered, however it was out of our hands and with the SolarEdge Engineers.
My review
I have been waiting now for more than 2 months for someone to come and fix a SolarEdge inverter communications issue. It no longer talks to the system through the wifi. Between SolarEdge and the installer, they have been continually just sending emails around to "make this a priority" or "....please push this..." but no one has come to fix it despite promises that someone will call within the week to arrange a site visit. I would not use SolarEdge inverters or the installer Soltek Energy ever again. Zero customer service. Despite all the grand promises on their websiteInverter rating: 1/5
