Big decision made easy

What a big decision getting solar is! Spending around $10k for a system is not a decision to be made lightly. We found we could trust solar quotes recommendations and then when the team from Kozco came and quoted we felt confident and comfortable with the information and process.

Very knowledgeable, helpful and efficient salesperson

Excellent salesperson, prompt installation with no residual mess. Very good dealing with tenants connecting to internet. A few unfortunate hiccups and delays with correct invoicing and documentation but once we got back to the original saleperson, Ben Norton, all was sorted very promptly. We would recommend Kozco overall.

Kozco Customer Focussed

Kozco sales were knowledgeable and answered my dozen questions with confidence. Kozco gave me a competitive quote (not the lowest but very close). Their quote gave me a better Inverter, Panels and a good monitoring system.

The installation went smoothly even though they were down one man on their crew. They were polite and took their time to explain system operations / monitoring on the day. The system was completed ahead of time. I purchased extra concrete tiles as expected some breakages and got none!

The Inverter was installed in the garage where I had requested.

Follow up after install has been good and an upgraded smart meter was arranged by the supplier which is happening today.

Customer service

We recently discovered our tiled roof was leaking around where the solar panels were installed. The initial contact was positive and someone got back to me and was going to arrange for someone to come out and have a look. That was 2 months ago, all subsequent calls and email have gone unanswered. I needed to get a roofer in who identified two cracked tiles and confirmed the tiles were most likely damaged during installation of the solar system.

I would like to thank John (service manager) reaching out. We have now resolved the issues above to our satisfaction.

Excellent experience, highly recommend

I was contacted by Ben Norton the day after I made an online enquiry with Kozco, which was much sooner than I expected. Ben was very accommodating and had infinite patience for the many questions I had. I felt reassured by his product knowledge and the personalised service. Whilst these systems can be quite pricey, after speaking with Ben I had a clear understanding of the financial benefits in the long term, especially with investing in a quality product. Ben followed up every enquiry promptly and kept in touch throughout the process. Installation was within a month, moreso impressive as this period incorporate the Christmas and New Year periods and was a quick and efficient process.

The installers were on time and very professional. In the space of one day they removed 2 x other older solar systems from our roof and 2 x inverters and installed our new system. By the end of the day it was up and running.
Monitoring the system via Sungrow's handy iSolarCould app has been convenient and very easy. In addition to designing a great system to meet our needs, Ben also provided handy tips to maximise efficiency with minor changes to our household habits. Very happy with our system, Ben and Kozco - highly recommend them.

Solar Service and modification to switchboard

We initially contacted Kozco Energy for a system health check of our solar system, (purchased from Sharpe Electrical in 2021and since gone out of business), as we have been concerned that our battery wasn't coming online when there were power outages. Danny and Ralph discovered that the battery backup had not been installed correctly by the original installers (Sharpe Electrical). While doing the service Danny and Ralph also advised us that our switchboard was unsafe and should be upgraded. (we have had several electricians working on our property previously and none have mentioned that our switchboard was unsafe)

Ralph and Danny did an excellent job upgrading our switchboard and also added a new power circuit for our fridge freezer, and gas HWS so that they were covered by the battery backup. They also liaised with Sonnen to check that the battery was operating correctly.

Johnstone Maina from the Kozco office did an excellent job liaising with us and organising timings, Ralph and Danny were polite, good natured and punctual.

Great install

I chose Kozco as the ad's I'd seen and other reviews they seemed very professional. I spoke with Harry, he came and looked at the job location,
sent an initial quote. Had more questions and ideas and came up with the final version.
The install team were great. A big job removing an older system replacing with a new one and battery installed. Being an older house made it a bit harder. Job finished and a great looking unit.

Recommend Installer

I can thoroughly recommend Kozco Energy Group if you’re considering a Solar System. We were presented with a couple of installation proposals and Harry took the time to come and see us, inspect and explain our system options. Not all companies will take the time to come out, but I would highly recommend they do. Harry identified additional costs to our system that were required and it’s better to know these upfront. The installers and electrician were very amiable and did a great job on a very warm day. The after sales team have kept in touch and provided us with advice on certification and notifying our electricity retailer. Very pleased with the whole process and would recommend Kozco readily.

Very efficient service

I have just recently had a solar system installed through Kozco. The salesperson Harry was very efficient and reliable and a great communicator, he kept in touch throughout sale and installation which was very much appreciated by me. He lsitened to my requirements and understood what I needed. Alan who installed the unit and his offsider were friendly and efficient, and very patient while explaining the technology to me. As a newby to solar, this treatment was greatly appreciated as I was quite nervous about such a big investment for me. I can thoroughly recommend Kozco as they have been supportive througout the whole experience! Thanks Kozco!!

Modification to switchboard

Ralph did a great job in altering the switchboard so that the correct circuits were covered by the battery backup.
He was friendly, knowledgeable & efficient. I would be happy to have him work on my system anytime 10/10

Super efficient service from our installers today

Solar Installation

Jonathon was very informative and helpful with working out our requirements.
The installers did a great job, clean and tidy. Arrived on time, all very polite.
No issues with grid connection.
Customer service was a bit poor at times. Advised would confirm a time by phone, never received a call. Had to make several calls to find out what was happening. They were apologetic.
Overall, satisfied with the job and the installers.

The Kozco rep (Harry) was a very informative and was able represent and explain in laymen's terms the way in which
He suggested we should have a Kozco Solar system installed. He went to great lengths to explain the process involved
and provided us with updated information .. The final conversation with Harry was the total cost and we were totally surprised so we signed up straight away. We believe that Harry has the potential to go onto big and better things and Kozco should be very proud to have a company representative like him. We also have to take the opportunity to give

Good Sales Process Let Down by Installation

The sales process was very good and the quote was selected because of the product & technology that suited my circumstances. However, the installation process & service was disappointing. They were 2 hours late arriving on day 1 and 1 hr on day two. I then had to point out an aspect of the positioning of some panels as they were not lined up. So a subsequent return visit was then necessary. As I work full time, the time wasted and needing to be around was frustrating. The connection to the grid has still not occurred 2 wks post completion of installation. Post installation and to the companies credit they acknowledged the feedback and the installation of the new meter was expedited and the company also provided some improved after sales support.

Fantastic customer service all round

Right from the start, I had a sense of confidence and trust in what Kozco had to offer me as a solution to the needs of my household. They fully explained the recommended solar solution and savings to be made from my investment.
On my acceptance of the quote, they gave me an installation date which was only 3 weeks away,
which gave me time to prepare.
The Kozco team of installers arrived precisely on time and were very professional, and answered my questions very thoroughly.
A great job overall with a not one problem!

Highly recommended!

We are absolutely delighted with our new solar and battery system purchased from Kozco Energy Group. Their team helped us navigate the options for the best system to suit our home and then worked with us while we replaced the roof prior to installation. We found their communication to be first class, and the installation staff were polite, professional and left a clean site.

The whole process for us - from purchase to system handover - was effortless.

We also use Kozco to maintain our Actron Air air-conditioner. The maintenance admin team, and staff that visit our home, are excellent.

Very happy we chose Kozco

We couldn’t have been happier with our sales and installation experience from the Kozco team.

On the sales side, Matt was easily the most professional and pro-active of the people we spoke to from the 3 companies recommended by Solar Quotes. He went out of his way to present us with a number of options to best suit our needs.

The installation team were also very impressive with their friendly professionalism and the efficient way they dealt with the challenges of weather and COVID disruptions on our job.

While we did experience a frustrating period of lack of communication in resolving an issue with the Consumption Meter ceasing to work after SA Power installed the new smart meter, our faith in Kozco’s after sales service has been more than restored by the prompt and positive way they have handled a recent inverter warranty claim.

Overall, we’re more than happy with our choice of Kozco Energy Group for the solar system on our home.

A job well done.

The re-installation was necessitated by inverter failure at 10 years. I considered the original installation had been of poor quality with loose wires draped across the roof collecting leaves and debris and an ugly configuration of the cabling. My particular needs were well understood and intelligently approached in the design configuration offered. This has proven very cost effective.Performance has exceeded the predicted. The design/sales team were prompt efficient, well informed and seamlessly moved to installation.
The installation involved a large engaged team who arrived at the stated time and had the manpower and the confident engaged approach needed. It is 10 years since the first install but the contrast in competence and the installation process was remarkably different. Blowers, vacuums and brooms kept the whole work area tidy.
The design strategy, quality of installation and the cost effectiveness of the upgrade were excellent.

Fantastic Service

From start to finish kozco did a great job. We were recommended from a friend who had a positive experience. Sales were polite and did a site visit, very quick to get back with a competitive price. The install team kept the site clean and was quicker than what i thought it would take. Being a brand new house there was no damage to the roof or gutters cause of the gutter protection. Would definitely recommend!

Poor installation, lack of ownership. Told everything I wanted to hear but not delivered.

Installation I was left extremely dissatisfied. Followed by on-going failed promises.

The panel plan changed several times in the install day with installers and sales team not agreeing on solutions.

Inverter was mounted within 5mm of garage panel door's pathway. Likely to be damaged 1 day, they realised the error when i pointed it out as they installed with door open and didn't look/check.

Damaged/cracked a tile they drilled through, told me they would change it over with spare which I offered them, even though sales told me it would be at their expense. They hid it instead and lied about it putting silicone over the top, then later blamed their apprentice and took no responsibility for it until I held off final payment. Other cracks and tile misplacement too.

Panels were left filthy. Suncream hand prints all over.
Solar panel black frames were all scratched up

2 Panel rails extended very dodgy due to not measuring correctly and panel moves while others are fixed.

Tv antenna was not moved as advised. Left with shaded panels and a bird nesting area directly over panel. It is now useless with bird droppings covering it. Resolution offer was to charge me a further $500 even though it was agreed the entire way through by sales team to have been discussed and part of the job.

Cables in roof were strung without support, earth outside of condute.

I'm dissatisfied and annoyed that there was little effort to fix the issues.
It took over a month to replace the tile and fix cables. Other issues remain, left with a $250 discount to have someone else look at antenna. Didn't even have the professionalism to call back and discuss it, accounts were left to show it on the bill.

They advised they'll have the antenna moved yet I've waited over yet another month now. Still no action. Panels covered in bird droppings rendering useless they knew from day 1 this was an issue.

They agreed to outsource this antenna job to avoid any further reputation risk as their young installer wasn't confident and visited 3 times to say it's too difficult. There are next day businesses available to do this work so shouldn't be waiting for it for months.

Told me they want a 5 star review after all this as it could impact their business and yet I'm still waiting on what I paid for

Tried to make me feel bad about leaving the review after they actually requested it. This is 100% honest and they've had plenty of time to act or even do the right thing in the first place!

Be aware, do not finalise your payment until "happy", check their work!!!

Easy to deal with company

The Kozco Group was easy to deal with, gave me reasonable price for the product I wanted. Quoting process was relatively smooth and the salesperson understood my solar system requirements. The technicians were punctual and hard working. Considering there was half the crew on the instalation day, they made sure the job was done. Thank you Kozco.

Excellent installer

I am very pleased with my interactions with Kozco Energy Group for installation of my solar panels. After getting a few quotes and doing my research I went with them as I liked the brand of solar panels they installed (Trina) with the Enphase microinverters, and I was not going to install a battery at this time. The quote by Matt was very punctual and on site. After getting other quotes, I was able to amend my initial quote (remove the battery) which was easily done and thus the decision came to use them.

The installation was tidy. They required an extra half day to install all the panels which was fine. And Shaun came back to set up the IT infrastructure so I can now see my energy production from my smartphone.

Very happy with their service, and they provide yearly cleaning of the panels which is great. Would highly recommend them.

Great service from Kozco

From our first conversation on the phone until the last solar panel went up we were thoroughly pleased with Kozco.
Such polite people, whatever was said they would do -was done! They replied promptly to my messages and questions
They were punctual and cleaned up after the work was completed.
They followed up to make sure all was working properly. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Kozco!
We’ve even had our air conditioner serviced by Kozco and the technician was so lovely, polite and helped us understand how it all worked. Thanks Kozco!

They really are very good.

From the first phone call to Matt (plug for Lobethal Footy Club's home game newsletter)-
To the follow up email last week when the system is nearly a month old, the team at Kozco have been, friendly, polite, timely, courteous, efficient and patient, especially Matt with my 101 questions and counting.

The installation crew were on time and respectful of property and "Nick- the battery guy" a font of information and patience. Thank you to the staff in the office for organising AGL etc etc,

They were one of 3 initial quotes and they were upfront about costs and requirements and also very helpful on the battery vs no battery without pressure either way. (We went with battery and have been 98% self sufficient since)

Value for money and quality of system stars are only after 4 weeks, but it's looking good so far! I would definitely recommend Kozco to others.

This system was by far the best value out of several quotes received. Sales person was fantastic and the team have been very good with communication regarding installation (still to go ahead this week).
