The ratings have been reviewed and the numbers crunched. Discover which companies are SolarQuotes’ best-rated solar installers in Queensland for 2025.

The winners were selected based on a weighted calculation of customer reviews of installers listed on the SolarQuotes website, whether those businesses are part of our installer network or not. Using this approach gives smaller Queensland installation companies with fewer reviews a fair chance against the bigger players.

First Place –  Reef Solar & Electrical

Taking out the top spot was Reef Solar & Electrical, based in Boyne Island in the Gladstone region. The company supplies and installs grid-connect and off-grid solar power and battery systems, EV chargers and heat pump hot water systems in Gladstone, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Agnes Water, and everywhere in between.

Owner Troy Coburn has been involved in the energy industry since 2009. After taking on and re-branding what was previously Daniel Shea Electrical and Solar (DSES) last year, the number and nature of positive reviews from Reef Solar & Electrical clients in such a short time-frame has been quite remarkable.

In second place was G-Solar & Electrical, which was established in 2014 and is based in Stratford; a suburb of Cairns. The company is owned by Grant Newman, a fifth-generation Cairns local electrician with many years of experience in the renewable energy industry. And in third place was MC Electrical, which was founded in 2009 by Mark Cavanagh and is based in Eagle Farm, Brisbane.
