Efficient and Trustworthy

I've always found SAE provide quality workmanship and value for money. Wouldn't go anywhere else as they know what they are doing and are trustworthy. Of particular importance is that they are involved in the whole installation process, not like some others who quote and then subcontract out the installation.

Quality installation, Excellent Value for Money

How was the sales/quoting process? friendly and great design
How did the installation go? careful work, friendly, knowledgeable, clean and tidy cabling.
Stayed until just after dark to finish in one day. Organized small job nearby after, in-case anything further was needed on this install.
Polite? Yes
Tidy? Yes
Punctual? a little late. 1/2 hour
How was the customer service? e.g. did they help organize the grid connection after the install, YES before install

A fantastic company, I'm very happy with the whole process.

Professional, tidy, friendly, on time. Impressive. I would (and have) recommend them to others. Answered all my questions and explained the hot water timer too. I highly reccomend this company from first phone call to the actual construction. The app is excelent and easy to use too.

Great service

Andrew was great in helping us choose our solar system and battery. The instillation was very fast and it was connected to the grid right away. We had a small issue with the battery not backing up the right parts of the house and that issue was resolved so we were very happy.

Great System, Excellent Customer Service

The salesperson was very helpful all the way through the process.
The installation was big, even though there were a few hiccups all was fixed in a timely manner.
The tradies onsite were excellent, willing to answer questions and always on time. All rubbish was taken away with them.
The after sales was and continues to be excellent. The app works out everything we need to know and is monitored by SAE who can fix anything remotely.
Overall, we are very happy with we went with SAE for a home battery. It integrated well with our SAE installed solar system.

Amazing installer

Our sales ad quoting process was very easy, friendly and informative.
The installers were always polite, on time and cleaned up after themselves. Always willing to answer questions and explain things.

Really happy with my experience using SAE group for my solar installation!

The whole process was smooth from start to finish! Damian gave me all the information and recommendations. I had a range of options to choose to best suit my energy needs at home. The team was easily contactable and helpful and pricing was great for my system. I have had my solar system for almost 6 months and am really happy with it!
The electricians completing my installation were polite and helpful showing me how to use my system when done. Would definitely recommend this company for anyone looking for a solar installation.

Battery installation

Once I received my quote the wait for installing wasn't too long and everything after that was done fairly quickly with no issues. The installation team were quick and was helpful in setting up my phone monitoring and cleaned up after themselves. Overall a hassle and trouble free experience.

SAE Group just did my solar system and battery. This is my second home where they installed solar panels.The technician explained everything clearly, installed carefully, and cleaned up thoroughly afterward. Love the new system

My installation of my new solar array and battery went extremely well considering I was trying to juggle my roof restorers and everyone want to come when the weather finally cleared.
The guys (and gals) at SAE were extremely punctual and kept me informed the entire way.
When the installation was happening nothing was a problem for the crew doing the job. They were polite and bang on time.
The system has been great. It is working exactly as I wanted and I haven’t touched the grid since it was put up.

Faulty battery replaced quickly

My Tesla battery monitor stopped working and the SAE team reviewed and replaced with a new one quickly. The helped the battery connect to the apps. It was a very positive experience, thank you so much!

Very professional installation

Sales and quoting was detailed with prices for the alternatives for our situation.

Installation was done with quiet efficiency and a good tidy up was done.

He came out and listened to what we wanted and designed our solar and battery to suit our needs and when the installers turned up on time and got the install done in the same day. Rough start but a good finish

It took me many calls to SAE to finally have someone attending my request. Some misinformation of them saying I couldn't install 3-phase charging, and I had to provide them with info from Energex for them to realise that they could.
After that it was smooth. They installed the EV charger neatly and completed the job on time.

SAE (Skilled Awesome Excellent) Top professionals among lots of other solar professionals.

Out of seven Solar and Battery submissions this one made the top three, then the top one. The installation was smooth and the proficiency of the various technicians was obvious. I was stepped through all the processes and had an app to watch the solar and battery day-by-day. The site was left absolutely clean.

Excellent from start to finish

The purchase was an upgrade of an existing system that had been damaged by hail. The salesman was very helpful in providing us with the information to ensure that we got the correct cash settlement from the insurance company.
The installation occurred a week or two earlier than expected. On the day the installers were running late but were in contact to advise of their amended arrival time. The install was hassle free and they made sure to install the new panels in the same place as the previous panels so that there were no different coloured roof tiles visible. They showed how to use the app for the inverter which was running on completion of the installation.
Overall very happy with the whole process from quoting through to the installation.

Punctual, reliable, responsible installer

The sales and quoting experience was clear, appropriate and proportionate to the job. A delay in our accepting the quote resulted in a significantly increased requote to accommodate a decreased govt subsidy rate. However further discounts were applied by SAE to keep the extra costs contained.

The installation was timely, the installers and SAE office were responsible and polite, the installers advised and revised ways to optimise the capture and inversion from panels and strings, CT-Clamps and Strings were checked, rechecked and correctly installed, issues with iSolar app resolved and follow-up service offered.

Customer service was clear, friendly and polite with scheduling, invoicing and follow-up service. Grid reconnection was effective. We have not yet used the EV charger but know we can call for assistance.

We would recommend SAE for professional service.

Very poor installer performance and not providing what I expected.

This company was very quick in providing quotes but then things went down hill. They are based in Gold Coast not Sunshine Coast as I was led to believe. They repeatedly made appointments to do the work then cancelled several times. I gave them three contracts, battery supply and install, relocate existing solar panels and EV charger supply and install. The panel relocation work was put off several times and after two days on site about two weeks apart the panels are finally moved but the solar system is disconnected and cannot be used. The EV charger was installed but was supplied without a cable to connect the car, after almost a week I have no cable and no commitment from them to supply one. The battery installation is delayed by Energex and this is not SAE’ fault.
All staff have been courteous and helpful but progress is not what it should be.

A very professional company

The salesman came out to my house to have a good look around before preparing the quote.

Amazing service from start to finish.

From the moment I contacted SAE the interactions were professional and considered. Every concern, want, and need was considered and the system was explained in exactly the detail I needed to understand what I was going to get and how it would look.

When the team came to install they too were amazing, checking with us at each stage to ensure we were happy with the work to be done.

The final result is amazing, it is exactly what we expected and works even better. The battery and all of the electrical work is so neat and tidy you would think that they were installing it in their own homes, only they cleaned up the area so that it was even better than when they arrived.

Honestly, this was a painless experience with no stress and the only surprise was how good the team was that did the installation.

Reliable from start to finish

Tyson did a very honest and reliable job with my quote. Unlike other places I had got quotes from, he took the time to review my energy bills and ensure my battery and solar system met my needs, not exceed it. He was quick to respond and clear on all questions I’ve had.

The installation team were on time, efficient, clear on what they were doing and left the home clean. They were polite, good communicators on how it all works.

From end to end, high level of integrity, reliable and genuinely easy to work with. I’ve already recommended SAE to three colleagues. Can’t be happier

Fremantle installation

The sales / quoting process was excellent.
We unfortunately changed our minds three times but this was handled by SAE and new quotes were given quickly.
The time to installation was given and though at the first quote 3 months hence it did not change and then luckily the installation was brought ahead 3 weeks.
The installation was completed in one day and has performed as expected.
A planned outage in our area allowed us to see what will happen and we were happy.
Help prior to this given by SAE Queensland so that I understood what will happen in an outage.
I do not understand the charger question so I would like to know about it.
Grid connection had a bit of a problem but once I contacted SAE I found out what the problem was and paperwork for the electricity company was completed.

Great Results

From our 1st contact to the conclusion of the work it was a pleasure to have dealings with S.A.E. We had two dealings because of the recent hail storms .Both occasions the work ran smoothly. All up 29 panels,2 Tesla 13.5 kW batteries,inverters ,switchboard upgrade,removal of damaged panels. Total cost just under$40k.
Our powerbills now about$50 and many cloudy days in there.
Quote was received within24 hours and fully explained. Workmen,punctual courteous also fully explained operation of the new system
On most days we have 100% battery charge by 10.30am.
Had a couple of blackouts but didn't even realise until our phone notification came through advising us of the loss of power
Highly recommended S.A.E.and already have done so.

After a lot of research into solar and battery systems, I decided to go with SAE Solar and Energy — and I’m genuinely glad I did.

From the beginning, Toby was absolutely fantastic to deal with. Professional, knowledgeable, honest, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he always took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. How the mighty have fallen!

Four years ago SAE installed an Enphase system on my house in Manly and the installation was excellent, done in difficult weather and on time. We moved house and I asked SAE to install another Enphase system and that was a big mistake. SAE cannot manage a project and totally failed to communicate. This installation took six months and was subbed out in the end as SAE had no installers. That was lucky for me as AIS - to whom the work was subbed out - proved to be extremely competent and helpful. I cannot recommend SAE as they never return calls, fail to communicate and clearly don’t understand what service means anymore. The Enphase system is excellent and possibly the safest system on the market. It is engineered to a very high quality and this is the third time I have installed Enphase and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Non-functioning system

We have a non-functioning solar and battery system 5 weeks after install. That’s right - not working. Nothing. No or poor communication. So stressful, so unsatisfactory, so disappointing.

Our review

SAE Group were quite busy at the time so our install took a while to happen after signing up, however the installation was done quickly with no problems and the team were friendly, helpful and tidy.

Long time SAE customers go for upgrade

We have been with SAE since 2021 when we installed solar panels. We decided it was time to upgrade to a battery and we researched long and hard before deciding SAE were the ones to go with. Great quoting procedure with many of our questions answered on the spot. Had a bit of a hiccup with installation as our date was rescheduled several times. But extremely happy with end result and the savings we are making as a result of our battery install.

Great system, great installer

I spoke to Luke about the quote he was very helpful and detailed exactly his proposal and why certain things were required, he answered all my questions in an easy to understand way.
I needed to wait a couple of months before getting the installation done, that was no problems and there never was any pressure to buy or install earlier.
The installation took almost a full day but the quality is worth it. The 2 technicians did a very neat and tidy job and acted very professionally.
Overall, I'm delighted with the system.

Tesla Install

Chris and Joel were fantastic they both carried on time explained before starting the job on where things were going to be installed , explained thoroughly and any questions I had were answered politely and with knowledge .
Completed job was done so neatly and professional .
Chris helped me to set up the Tesla App explained on how it all worked .

I was more than happy of work done by SAE Group as I chose them because of being Tesla Certified installers .
I would recommend SAE to my family and friends cause I know what type of work they will get .

Given the scramble that the current battery installation market, I selected to choose from reputable installers. The firm I chose had good quality products at a reasonable price.

Warranty

SAE Group was great to deal with for installation and so on and advice, but now I have a warranty claim with a part that is not working. I have been mucked about for six months and I hear nothing from them unless I contact them, and still just give me the run around, I'm glad nothing catastrophic is wrong with my system as warranty team are hopeless, if I did it again I would not use SAE Group, and I spent 30k.

From the start to completion the team were able to answer my queries in a timely manner and complete the work well in advance. Nothing was too much trouble

The sales team provided a quote the next day and it was installed in 1 day instead of 2. Customer service was able to answer all my questions at once

Flawless

Ross was extremely professional, got back to us promptly, and honestly made the most sense to us. He knew the products inside and out and also managed to get us Australian made panels. The installers arrived when they said they would, were courteous and professional and left no mess at all. We then had a follow up phone call. Fantastic service. We got both solar and a battery and so far haven’t paid a cent for electricity. Win win!!
